Cha Eun Woo made the difficult decision to continue working despite his time of mourning. The ASTRO member will participate in a cultural event in Thailand. The event will take place just a week after fellow ASTRO member Moonbin passed away.

Cha Eun Woo Confirms Participation in Thailand Concert This April

PRESTIGE Entertainment is the agency behind ‘KonnecThai’, a cultural event set in Thailand aimed at bridging the country with South Korea through music. On April 24, the company issued a statement confirming that Cha Eun Woo will participate in the event.

“After sufficient discussion with the organizer, Fantagio, and the artist, it has been decided to proceed with participation in this event as planned,” the statement read.

The statement also addressed ASTRO member Moonbin’s passing and expressed the organizer’s sympathy for his family and friends.

“Considering Cha Eun-Woo’s emotions is the most important factor. We will do our best to accommodate Cha Eun-Woo, all of the artists, partners, and fans of all artists who will be attending this ‘KonnecThai’ event and make ‘KonnecThai’ a place where everyone can share a memorable moment,” it read.

Cha Eun Woo recently returned to South Korea to attend Moonbin’s wake and funeral. He was previously in the US for international promotions and had attended Coachella 2023.

Moonbin passed away in his apartment in Gangnam on April 19, 2023. The cause of death is still under investigation. His family has decided to have a private ceremony for the idol and the wake was attended by close friends. Moonbin’s sister BILLLIE rapper Moon Sua served as chief mourner at his wake. The other ASTRO members MJ, JinJin, and Sanha all attended the wake as well.

‘KonnecThai’ is a cultural musical event that will feature Thai and South Korean artists. The concert will take place on April 30, 2023, at the IMPACT Exhibition Hall 6-7 in Thailand.
