i-dle is returning to JTBC’s beloved variety show “Knowing Bros” (also known as “Ask Us Anything”), and fans can look forward to a fun-filled, candid, and chaotic episode! Interestingly, one topic that the idols spoke candidly about was their recent contract renewals!
i-dle Casually Discusses Contract Renewals in ‘Knowing Brothers’ Teaser
On May 17, the show aired a preview of the upcoming broadcast, confirming that all five members of i-dle will be appearing together as guests.
The teaser kicks off with the cast members warmly congratulating the group on recently renewing their contracts with Cube Entertainment as a full unit—a significant milestone in their career. Touching on their official name change from (G)I-DLE to simply i-dle, leader Jeon Soyeon wittily remarks, “We recently held a funeral for the ‘G,’” drawing laughter from the studio.
The episode promises to dive deep into the members’ personal thoughts and behind-the-scenes moments during their contract renewal process. Yuqi admits, “I received a lot of offers from other companies. To be honest, there were moments when I wavered.” When it’s revealed that Shuhua consulted with a lawyer independently, Lee Soo Geun jokingly says, “So Shuhua was totally preparing to leave,” to which Shuhua hilariously replies, “Yes, I really was,” earning even more laughs.
Minnie shares a light-hearted anecdote about texting Soyeon when she felt slightly upset about the distribution of parts in a song. Kim Heechul jokes that Minnie probably got on Soyeon’s bad side, prompting Minnie to cheekily add, “Every time I sang the opening part for a song, it was a hit,” highlighting her charm and confidence.
The episode also features a medley of i-dle’s hit songs, showcasing their strong stage presence before the cast and idols dive into a series of games. As expected from “Knowing Bros,” the energy soon spirals into delightful chaos, promising an unforgettable and entertaining episode for viewers and fans alike. Don’t miss it!
