NCT WISH will unfortunately be sitting out SMTOWN LIVE 2025 LA this weekend. The rookie boy group is reportedly dealing with visa issues.

NCT WISH Will NOT Participate in SMTOWN LIVE 2025 LA

On May 9 local time, SM Entertainment released an official statement announcing that NCT WISH, who had been slated to perform at the highly anticipated SMTOWN LIVE 2025 concert on May 11, would no longer be able to attend. The reason cited was unresolved visa issues, which made it impossible for the group to travel to the United States in time for the event.

In preparation for this performance, we thoroughly completed all necessary steps to secure visa approvals, including submitting the required documents and attending interviews. However, despite our best efforts, there was an unexpected delay in the approval process, and the visas were ultimately not issued in time,” the statement read.

At present, the exact reason for the delay remains unclear,” it continued. “We made every possible effort to resolve the matter, but unfortunately, it was not enough to ensure NCT WISH’s appearance on stage.”

They added, “We fully understand and deeply regret the disappointment this may cause to fans who were eagerly anticipating NCT WISH’s performance. We share in your disappointment and sincerely apologize for not being able to fulfill this commitment.”

“Thank you for your understanding,” it concluded.

The agency also expressed regret over the situation and apologized to fans who were eagerly looking forward to seeing NCT WISH perform live. As one of SM’s newest rookie groups, NCT WISH had also generated excitement for their scheduled appearance alongside other top SM artists.

Despite this setback, SM Entertainment also assured fans that they are working hard to ensure smoother arrangements for future international schedules involving NCT WISH.

For now, it is unclear whether the rookie boy group will be able to join the rest of the SMTOWN LIVE 2025 dates in the US.
