JTBC’s upcoming drama “Good Boy” has released powerful new stills of Park Bo Gum, giving fans a deeper glimpse into his intense transformation for the role. The “Good Boy” stills reveal a serious side of the “When Life Gives You Tangerines” star.
‘Good Boy’ Stills Released
The newly unveiled images show Park Bo Gum’s character, Yoon Dong Joo, in gritty and emotionally charged moments. One still captures him staring forward with a determined and unwavering gaze, while another shows him gasping for breath, his face visibly bruised and streaked with blood. His clenched jaw, furrowed brows, and tightly coiled stance all reflect a man driven by resolve and inner turmoil. These visuals perfectly embody Yoon Dong Joo’s character—someone who charges into action and stands unshaken in the face of adversity.

“Good Boy” is a comic action drama that follows five former national athletes—Yoon Dong Joo (Park Bo Gum), Ji Han Na (Kim So Hyun), Kim Jong Hyun (Lee Sang Yi), Go Man Sik (Heo Sung Tae), and Shin Jae Hong (Tae Won Suk)—who trade their gold medals for police badges. Recruited through a special program, the team tackles high-risk cases, uncovering corruption and battling injustice while navigating personal struggles and their pasts.
This also marks Park Bo Gum’s first foray into the action youth genre, and expectations are high. As a former boxing champion, his character brings raw strength and emotional vulnerability to the police force. Park Bo Gum is also said to have immersed himself in training to deliver convincing action scenes while portraying the internal conflicts of a young man grappling with his new identity outside the ring.
Viewers are already praising his commitment, noting how the stills hint at a nuanced and powerful performance.
“Good Boy” is set to premiere on May 31 at 10:40 p.m. KST on JTBC, promising a compelling blend of humor, action, and heartfelt storytelling.
