At midnight KST on May 19, SHINee unveiled a special trailer and new details for their upcoming commemorative single “Poet | Artist,” set to be released on May 25 at midnight KST. The title holds deep emotional significance for fans, as it shares the name of the late member Jonghyun’s final solo album, which was released posthumously in 2018. The tribute immediately stirred feelings of nostalgia and love among Shawols, many of whom continue to honor Jonghyun’s legacy.
The newly revealed “Fluffy SHINee” trailer features five adorable, animated characters, each representing a different version of the single album. These playful and heartwarming designs are set to be part of the album’s physical release, adding a sentimental yet creative touch to the celebration.
As part of their anniversary festivities, SHINee also launched “SHINee WEEK,” a streaming event that began on May 18 and runs through May 22. Each evening at 8 p.m. KST, the group is also streaming one of their past concerts—starting from their very first and progressing through to their fifth—on their official YouTube channel. This event also allows both longtime fans and new supporters to experience the group’s evolution, stage charisma, and enduring influence over the years.
The highlight of SHINee’s 17th anniversary celebration will also be their return to the concert stage with “SHINee WORLD VII [E.S.S.A.Y] (Every Stage Shines Around You),” held from May 23 to 25 at the KSPO DOME in Seoul. This concert also marks their first full-group live performance since Onew’s return, making it even more special for fans.
With “Poet | Artist,” SHINee also continues to show that their journey is not just about music—it’s about legacy, unity, and deep emotional connection.
