Based on a popular web novel and webtoon, “The First Night With the Duke” is a romance fantasy drama that centers on the surreal journey of Cha Sun Chaek (played by Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun), an ordinary college student who suddenly finds herself transported into the world of a romance novel. However, instead of taking on the heroine’s role, she becomes a minor character—and ends up spending an unexpected night with the novel’s intensely obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (played by 2PM’s Taecyeon).
