The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has unveiled its latest round of official certifications, and several K-pop acts are making waves in the Japanese music market with impressive milestones! TWICE subunit MISAMO, as well as the idol groups TWS, and &TEAM, have officially earned new certifications in Japan!
TWICE Subunit MISAMO Earn Platinum Certification with ‘HAUTE COUTURE’
Leading the list is TWICE’s MISAMO, whose Japanese mini album ‘HAUTE COUTURE’ has officially been certified platinum, signifying over 250,000 units shipped in Japan. According to the RIAJ, albums reach gold certification at 100,000 units and platinum at 250,000 units, making this a notable achievement for the popular sub-unit. Released on November 6, 2024, ‘HAUTE COUTURE’ is MISAMO’s second extended play and continues to highlight the trio’s refined style and strong popularity in Japan.
Next, rising boy group TWS has also joined the ranks of certified artists with their latest Korean mini album ‘TRY WITH US’, which earned a gold certification after shipping over 100,000 units in Japan. Released on April 21, 2025, the album features the upbeat title track “Countdown!” and also marks a significant step forward in TWS’s growing international presence.
Meanwhile, HYBE LABELS JAPAN’s &TEAM celebrates double success this month. Their latest Japanese single album “Go in Blind,” released on April 21, 2025, has been certified triple platinum, boasting over 750,000 units shipped. In addition, their debut mini album “First Howling : ME” has also been recognized with a platinum certification. These accomplishments also further solidify &TEAM’s position as a leading rookie group in the Japanese market.
With these certifications, all three artists—MISAMO, TWS, and &TEAM—also continue to demonstrate the global power and influence of K-pop. Their success in Japan not only reflects their popularity but also sets the stage for even greater milestones in the future.
