VERIVERY’s Dongheon Gyehyeon and Kangmin will be temporarily stepping away from group activities. The three members of the idol group are reportedly focusing on personal schedules.
Dongheon Gyehyeon and Kangmin to Take a Break from VERIVERY Group Schedules
On May 9, their agency Jellyfish Entertainment released an official statement announcing that the three members would be suspending their participation in group promotions starting May 11. The agency explained that the decision was made in consideration of “unreleased personal schedules” that require the members’ full attention and focus.
Although the exact nature of the schedules has not been disclosed, the company assured fans that this hiatus is temporary, and that updates regarding their return will be provided once the circumstances allow. In the meantime, the remaining VERIVERY members—Hoyoung, Minchan, and Yongseung—will continue to promote and engage in scheduled activities as a group.

“Due to unreleased personal schedules, members Dongheon Gyehyeon and Kangmin will temporarily halt participation in VERIVERY activities starting May 11,” the statement read.
“We apologize for any concerns that we may have caused to VERRER [VERIVERY’s fandom] with the sudden news, and ask for your understanding on the matter,” it continued. “We ask for your continued love and support for VERIVERY.”
Fans expressed concern but have also sent messages of support and encouragement for the trio, trusting that their time away will be beneficial.
Dongheon, Gyehyeon, and Kangmin have been active since VERIVERY’s debut in 2019, and their presence has been central to the group’s musical identity and performances. As they take time away for personal reasons, fans look forward to welcoming them back when they’re ready.
For now, it is unclear when Dongheon, Gyehyeon, and Kangmin will reunite with the rest of VERIVERY to resume group activities. Make sure to continue checking this page for further updates from Jellyfish Entertainment.
