On October 17, ADOR officially announced Min Hee Jin’s reappointment as the company’s inside director.
“Today, ADOR held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and reappointed former CEO Min Hee Jin as an inside director,” they said in a statement. Min Hee Jin’s original term as inside director was set to end on November 1, but with this reappointment, she will continue in the position for another three years starting November 2, ensuring her continued involvement in the company’s creative direction and strategy.
In August, ADOR announced that Min Hee Jin would step down as CEO but would remain involved in producing content for NewJeans, one of the label’s most successful groups. Despite her stepping down from the CEO role, fans and the NewJeans members themselves expressed strong support for Min Hee Jin.
On September 11, the five members of NewJeans held a live YouTube broadcast, where they issued an ultimatum to HYBE, demanding Min Hee Jin’s reinstatement as CEO by September 25. In response, on September 13, Min Hee Jin filed an injunction to seek reappointment not only as an inside director but also as CEO of ADOR.
