On April 23, the agency released a firm statement addressing the growing number of defamatory posts, false rumors, and personal attacks targeting ASTRO members across online platforms and social media. The agency emphasized that such content has caused significant emotional distress not only to the artists but also to their families and fans.

We are aware that malicious posts including slanderous attacks defaming ASTRO’s character and reputation as well as the circulation and reproduction of groundless rumors are being indiscriminately circulated through social media and online communities,” the statement read.

While we have been carefully monitoring the situation due to its sensitive nature, the repeated malicious actions have led us to conclude that we can no longer overlook these issues. We are now preparing strong legal action without leniency,” it added.

They added, “We are currently collecting evidence of malicious slander, defamation, and the spread of false information targeting our artists. We will be taking legal measures without any leniency or the possibility of settlement.”

The agency reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy when it comes to the protection of its artists’ rights and mental well-being. They also urged fans and the public to report harmful content. Fantagio also concluded by thanking fans for their continued support and understanding.

The group has also announced “The 4th ASTROAD [Stargraphy]”a special concert that will see the group reunite with former member Rocky. Additionally, the concert is also set to pay tribute to the late member Moon Bin, who passed away on April 19, 2023.
