Louis of K-pop boy group KINGDOM will temporarily take a break from group activities to prioritize his health.
On Monday, November 20, GF Entertainment updated fans of Louis’ health condition. “Recently, Louis’ health has continuously gotten worse. But because the artist was strongly determined to carry out his activities, he continued his activities up until now,” the agency said.

However, given that his condition has “continued worsening,” GF Entertainment has decided to put him on a break so he could focus on his being better. “Because we consider our artist’s health our top priority, we discussed the matter with the artist and decided that he should focus on his recovery,” the agency added.
Given his situation, GF Entertainment announced that Louis will not be participating in the fan signing events that are scheduled for the week. Additionally, other planned activities for the idol are also on hold. As for the album retailer, the agency said that they’d release a separate announcement regarding the idol’s participation in it.
While expressing regret for any concern caused by the sudden news, GF Entertainment pledged to provide updates on any changes related to Louis’ activities.
KINGDOM to continue activities without Louis
Following the announcement, fans were quick to send messages of support for Louis on social media, as well as wishes for his fast and safe recovery.
Meanwhile, KINGDOM will proceed with their activities temporarily featuring the remaining six members: Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Ivan, Hwon, and Jahan.
Notably, this isn’t the first time for a KINGDOM member to take a hiatus due to health concerns this year. In April 2023, Arthur also took a break from group activities. At the time, GF Entertainment didn’t disclose details about Arthur’s situation, only mentioning that he’s experiencing “abnormal symptoms.”
In other news, KINGDOM made their comeback in November with their seventh mini-album History of Kingdom: Part VII. Jahan. Prior to its official release, the album drew backlash for its album cover design because of its resemblance to Quran.
