Military Manpower Administration Reportedly Investigating BTS Suga Amidst DUI Allegation

Korea’s Military Manpower Administration (MMA) has announced that it will be launching an investigation into BTS’s Suga and his service as a social worker during his military duties.

Military Manpower Administration To Look Into Suga’s Activities

On August 23, it was reported that the MMA, which oversees military affairs in South Korea, would begin looking into Suga’s time serving as a social worker instead of an active-duty soldier. The investigation aims to determine if Suga received any preferential treatment during his service or if there were any violations of military protocols.

This move comes after a civic group publicly called for an investigation into Suga, particularly in light of an ongoing DUI scandal that has attracted significant attention. The group’s concerns also revolve around the possibility that Suga may have been given special privileges that are not afforded to other social workers or conscripts.

“We demand that Suga be investigated for his work as a social worker and that there be strict punishment in the case that the investigation finds any infractions. Suga drove while under the influence despite the fact that he has a responsibilty to serve as a social worker. It is hard not to believe that Suga could not fulfill his responsibility after drinking and that there wasn’t any preferential treatment,” the group said in a statement.

What Will Happen to BTS Member Suga After DUI Allegations?

The investigation into Suga’s military service adds another layer of scrutiny to the idol, who is already facing public backlash due to the DUI scandal. The scandal itself has reportedly led to further police inquiries, and Suga may face additional legal challenges as the situation develops.

This investigation has sparked considerable interest among fans and the general public, given BTS’s global influence and the strict expectations surrounding military service in South Korea.
