NCT WISH member Riku will be resuming activities after approximately four months of hiatus, bringing relief and excitement to fans.
Riku to Resume NCT WISH Group Activities
On February 3, SM Entertainment officially announced that Riku, who had taken a temporary break from group activities due to health concerns last year, is set to return to his schedule starting next month.
“Riku, who temporarily halted activities due to health reasons, has been focusing on rest and recovery. We are pleased to inform you that his condition has significantly improved,” the statement read. “Based on Riku’s strong desire to resume activities and the opinions of medical professionals, we have decided to proceed with his return to activities.”
However, fans shouldn’t expect to see Riku again immediately. “Riku is set to greet fans starting in March, participating in the ‘2025 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG in’ and contributing to the production of a new album, which is scheduled for release in the first half of the year, along with its related activities,” the statement continued.
Back in October, SM Entertainment released a statement informing fans that Riku would be taking a temporary hiatus from all group activities due to health issues. His absence was notably felt during several key events, including the 2024 Dream Concert, where he was missing from NCT WISH’s performances. This absence raised concerns among fans, as it followed earlier instances where he had to skip activities due to similar health-related reasons.
