T.O.P Addresses Possible BIGBANG Return

Recent rumors regarding T.O.P’s return to BIGBANG have been officially put to rest. Choi Seung Hyun has finally spoken up about the speculations.

Is T.O.P Returning to BIGBANG?

The speculation began circulating in online communities after keen-eyed fans noticed that T.O.P’s name remains on BIGBANG’s official YouTube account, and his Instagram profile still includes the description “T.O.P Choi Seung Hyun.” Many interpreted these details as a potential sign of his comeback to the group, sparking heated discussions across social media.

However, on February 11, T.O.P’s representative issued a clear statement denying any such plans. According to the representative, the inclusion of his name on his profile has been consistent from the very beginning, serving as a longstanding identifier rather than an indication of any impending return.

They further clarified that, as mentioned during his “Squid Game 2” interview, T.O.P expressed his apologies to the other members, and importantly, there have been no discussions or negotiations related to a reunion with BIGBANG.

Adding further credibility to this clarification, YG Entertainment—the company that manages BIGBANG’s YouTube channel—confirmed that the profile has not been updated since the release of the track “Still Life.” At that time, the channel featured the names of all original members, including G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, and Daesung, as contributors to the song. This unchanged status reinforces that the profile merely reflects the group’s historical lineup rather than signaling a new phase or reformation of the band.

Together, these statements from both T.O.P’s representative and YG Entertainment put an end to the swirling rumors. Fans are reassured that while T.O.P remains a vital part of his legacy with BIGBANG, there are currently no plans for him to rejoin the group. The focus remains on appreciating the work done in the past, without any immediate changes to BIGBANG’s lineup.

In the meantime, “Squid Game” Season 2 is still streaming on Netflix.
