fromis_9 May Be Preparing for a June Comeback as a 5-Member Group!
According to a new report on April 2, the girl group is currently preparing for their first comeback as a five member group in June.
This would mark the first release under the group’s new agency, ASND, and their first official group activity since five of the original members—Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Nagyung, Lee Chaeyoung, and Baek Jiheon—transitioned to the new label. In response to the report, ASND commented, “Nothing has yet been decided,” keeping fans eager for further confirmation.
It’s a promising update considering that the members of fromis_9 recently had a major victory.
Back on March 27, ASND announced that they had successfully wrapped up discussions with PLEDIS Entertainment, the group’s previous management.
In a heartfelt statement, ASND shared, “This meaningful result is a combination of the thoughtfulness of PLEDIS, who sincerely support the future of the members, and ASND’s passion.”
They further added, “With the ability to retain the name fromis_9, the foundation has been set for the musical growth of Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Nagyung, Lee Chaeyoung, and Baek Jiheon. We are preparing new projects and performances to meet the fans.”
ASND also asked fans for continued love and encouragement as fromis_9 embarks on their next chapter as a restructured group. Despite the changes in lineup, the group’s unwavering commitment to their fans and music remains at the heart of their new journey.
