BB GIRLS Reveals New Official Light Stick

On October 17, the group shared the design of their brand-new light stick, generating excitement among their fan base. The introduction of the new official light stick is a significant moment for BBGIRLS and their fans, marking a fresh chapter in their journey as artists with a new name and identity.

Brave Girls underwent a name change earlier this year, transitioning to BBGIRLS after departing from their former agency, Brave Entertainment, and signing with Warner Music Korea as a complete group. Not surprisingly, MINYOUNG, YOUJOUNG, EUNJI, and YUNA are all excited about their future after the release of the single album “ONE MORE TIME”.

“The four of us are beginning a new journey as BBGIRLS. We are nervous and excited at the same time,” Minyoung previously said. “It is very exciting to be reintroduced and to also start in a new environment. We, together with our music label, have worked hard in every step of the process to create an album that shows all of our distinct colors well.”

Eunji agreed, confirming that the idols took their time in choosing their comeback song.

“We took the time to listen to a lot of demos and communicated a lot,” she said. “‘ONE MORE TIME’ was the song that stood out the most, with a strong first impression and the most lasting impression. Also, as the title suggests, this track portrays a message of trying one more time. We believed it would be the most fitting concept for BBGIRLS re-debut.”

BB GIRLS released the second single album “ONE MORE TIME” on August 3, 2023.

After a remarkable 12-year journey together, BBGIRLS have introduced a fresh identity and sound through their latest special single album, ‘One More Time.’ This release not only showcases their artistic evolution but also highlights the enduring bond that unites the group members, reflecting their unwavering commitment to their music.

BBGIRLS Discuss New Journey With Warner Music Korea

In a new interview with allkpop, the members of the girl group spoke about their new beginnings with their latest album. When asked about the changes they went through, Minyoung expressed excitement for their ongoing musical adventure.

“The four of us are beginning a new journey as BBGIRLS. We are nervous and excited at the same time,” she said. “It is very exciting to be reintroduced and to also start in a new environment. Eunji also shared how the members of the group took their relaunching seriously and took time to choose their first single.

Look: BB Girls Unveils New Photos, Logo and Social Media Accounts

We’re entering a new era with BB GIRLS, formerly known as K-pop girl group Brave Girls! 

On Monday, July 10, BB GIRLS unveiled their new group logo and launched new social media accounts.

 

They also released a set of new photos for each members. Minyoung, Youjuong, Eunji, and Yuna showcased a mature and sophisticated look while posing in monochromatic ensembles. 

 

 

This came after Minyoung, Youjuong, Eunji, and Yuna signed with Warner Music Korea in April following the expiration of their exclusive contracts with Brave Entertainment. 

Brave Entertainment initially announced that Brave Girls has officially disbanded. But after moving as a full group in Warner Music Korea, the agency announced that the members will continue their activities under the name BB GIRLS as their former label still own the trademark rights for the group’s first name. 

Warner Music Korea also confirmed that BB Girls will be making an August comeback, but additional details, such as album title and release date, have yet to be announced. 

Brave Girls debuted in 2011 and had several changes in their member line-up over the years. The group gained massive popularity in 2021 after their 2017 track “Rollin’.” went viral. Their last album with Brave Entertainment was Summer Queen, which was released in September 2021.

BRAVE GIRLS Reveal New Group Name

BRAVE GIRLS just announced their new group name. Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, and Yuna will continue to promote as a unit under a new name with their new agency.

Warner Music Korea Confirms BRAVE GIRLS’ New Group Name

The girl group’s new agency Warner Music Korea confirmed the news after reports surfaced regarding the name change.

“Brave Girls will continue their activities and change their team name to BB GIRLS,” the agency said in a statement.

There is an important reason for the name change. The idols’ former agency Brave Entertainment still owns the trademark rights to BRAVE GIRLS. Since the members have signed with a new label, they will not be able to promote under the original name.

BB GIRLS debuted in April 2011 with the single album ‘The Difference’. The group has undergone numerous line-up changes before settling on the four current members. In 2021, they gained a huge spike in popularity after their 2017 hit “Rollin’” went viral.

In February 2023, Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, and Yuna decided not to renew their exclusive contracts with Brave Entertainment. The agency then announced that the group has officially disbanded.

By April 2023, the four members of BRAVE GIRLS signed with Warner Music Korea. The group’s original leader Minyoung hyped up their return with new music.

“We are preparing with the aim of greeting [fans] in the soon-approaching 2023 summer, and we will greet everyone with even better music and new sides of us. I am so grateful to the many fans who were sad and waited for news of us following the report of our disbandment,” she wrote.

Warner Music Korea has not yet shared details about BB GIRLS’ next comeback, or debut under the new name. However, Minyoung already teased that the GIRLS will be back with new music this summer. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
