EXO Chanyeol Refuses to Give Up in ‘Back Again’ MV

Chanyeol is proving that he will never give up. The EXO member dropped the powerful “Back Again” MV, the second single from his debut solo album ‘Black Out’.

EXO’s Chanyeol Drops Powerful ‘Back Again’ MV

On September 6, the SMTOWN official YouTube channel released the “Back Again” MV. It features Chanyeol running away from a group of thugs but then getting back up to fight back.

“Back Again” is an alternative hip-hop track that merges the raw energy of old-school hip-hop with a vibrant rock sound. The song’s dynamic fusion of genres also highlights a nostalgic, yet modern twist, drawing listeners in with its high-energy beats and impactful lyrics.

Lyrically, “Back Again” tells the story of a narrator who envisions himself as a superhero. However, instead of the traditional triumphant journey, this superhero finds himself facing endless challenges and setbacks, striving for a happy ending that always seems just out of reach. The song also captures the emotional depth of perseverance in the face of overwhelming obstacles.

The music video adds a compelling visual layer to this narrative. It features EXO’s Chanyeol in a tense and gritty scene, where he is relentlessly pursued and attacked by a mob. Despite being knocked down and beaten, Chanyeol refuses to give in. With resilience, he gets back on his feet, also symbolizing the song’s core message: no matter how many times life beats you down, it’s all about finding the strength to rise again.

The MV’s intense atmosphere, combined with Chanyeol’s powerful performance, also amplifies the song’s themes of struggle, determination, and the relentless pursuit of hope.

“Back Again” is the second single from Chanyeol’s first solo EP ‘Black Out’ which was released on August 28, 2024. It was also released ahead of the first Seoul concert of the EXO member’s new solo tour “2024 Chanyeol Live Tour: City-scape” on September 6, 2024.

EXO Members Support Lay During ‘GRANDLINE 4’ in Seoul

The EXO members are proving yet again that they will always have each other’s back. Xiumin, Chanyeol, and Sehun have all been spotted attending fellow member Lay’s solo concert ‘GRANDLINE 4’ in Seoul this weekend!

EXO Members Attend ‘GRANDLINE 4’ in Seoul

Lay Zhang was recently in South Korea for the Korean leg of his ‘GRANDLINE 4’ world tour and the “Psychic” singer held a two-day concert in the country. Although fans were initially expecting to just see Zhang Yixing’s performance, they were also treated to awesome appearances from his fellow EXO members.

On the first day of the concert, Lay immediately noticed EXO maknae Sehun in the crowd. Lay even called out to his fellow member, thrilling the crowd with the interaction.

The second day of the concert tour brought in even more EXO members. This time, Xiumin and Chanyeol attended and even took awesome pictures with their Chinese member. Chanyeol shared a fun photo of himself with Lay Zhang in his Instagram stories.

Fans also spotted the EXO members having a meal together once the after-party has wrapped. It certainly confirms the bond between the idols continues to be strong despite Lay’s hiatus from group activities.

Lay had previously teased fans with a fun interaction with Chanyeol.  On April 21, Zhang Yixing went on Instagram Live as he was on his way to a music show appearance. As he was answering questions from fans, he was interrupted by a video call from fellow EXO member Chanyeol, who was in Japan for a solo schedule.

Although there was no interaction with the other active members of EXO, Eris were delighted to see Lay and Chanyeol having a great time in their video call. Fans are hoping that this is just the start of more interactions between the EXO members this year, especially since the group is expected to release a winter album.

EXO Fans React to Dangerous Chanyeol Stunt in ‘Travel The World On A Ladder’

EXO fans have expressed deep concern for Chanyeol. EXO-Ls are lashing out at the production team of the idol group’s new show “Travel the World on a Ladder.” According to fans, the producers placed Chanyeol in a potentially dangerous situation.

Chanyeol Left Blindfolded and Alone On Fenceless Rooftop Terrace for New EXO Show

In one segment of the survival game played by the EXO members, they were blindfolded and transported to undisclosed locations. Alarmingly, Chanyeol was the first to be led to his destination, which was a rooftop terrace lacking protective fencing or barriers.

The inherent danger of blindfolding someone on an unprotected rooftop raised immediate concerns among fans. What added to their distress was the apparent absence of any staff members to supervise Chanyeol. Instead of a camera person, the footage appeared to be captured by a drone.

Chanyeol’s visible discomfort and unease upon realizing his precarious location only heightened fans’ worries. Additionally, it appeared that he had not been informed in advance about the nature of the location, leaving him visibly concerned.

Was Chanyeol Safe in The Latest Episode of “Travel The World On A Ladder”?

The safety of idols is paramount to fans. Moreover, this incident has sparked a fervent discussion regarding the responsibilities of production teams. Fans pointed out that they should be ensuring the well-being of the artists during such shows.

Not surprisingly, EXO-Ls were greatly concerned about Chanyeol being left in a dangerous situation. Some blamed SM Entertainment for the lack of safety. However, others pointed out that it was all the production team’s fault.

For now, Chanyeol and his other group members are safe despite all the danger in the “Travel The World On a Ladder” episode. Hopefully, the production team will be more careful with the EXO members in the upcoming episodes.

EXO’s seventh studio album, titled “Exist,” saw its release on July 10, 2023. Notably, this album marked a significant departure for the group as it was the first one to be promoted with only seven members. The absence of member Kai, currently fulfilling his mandatory military service, and member Lay, engaged in solo endeavors in China, brought about this new dynamic within the group’s promotional activities.
