PocketDol Studio Addresses CLOSE YOUR EYES Management Breach Of Contract Allegations

PocketDol Studio has officially responded to allegations made by UNCORE, the agency overseeing the “PROJECT 7” group CLOSE YOUR EYES, regarding claims of contract violations.

PocketDol Studio Releases Official Statement Against UNCORE

The controversy arose when UNCORE revealed its intentions to pursue legal action against one of the participating agencies, accusing them of breaching the project’s contractual terms. According to UNCORE, the accused agency had allegedly scheduled independent activities for its artists outside of the commitments required for CLOSE YOUR EYES, the project group formed under “PROJECT 7.”

On January 10, PocketDol Studio, which manages BAE173’s J-Min (Jeon Minwook) and Sakurada Kenshin, both members of CLOSE YOUR EYES, issued an official statement addressing the allegations.

“We express regret regarding UNCORE’s statement today, which indicated their intent to pursue legal action over alleged contract violations by an agency,” the statement read. BAE173—a group with five years of history—and ‘PROJECT 7’ had signed a prior contract that permits dual activities. PocketDol Studio finds it deeply concerning and disheartening that ‘PROJECT 7’ suddenly changed its stance upon the final debut lineup being selected.”

The agency stated, “We have thoroughly reviewed the claims made by UNCORE and would like to clarify our position. PocketDol Studio has always operated in compliance with the terms outlined in the participation contract. We have prioritized the activities of CLOSE YOUR EYES while ensuring our artists’ professional growth in other appropriate settings.”

“We urge UNCORE to reconsider who is truly engaging in obstructive behavior,” they added. “The one who changed their words was ‘PROJECT 7’: while ‘PROJECT 7’ initially encouraged participation with assurances of being allowed to do dual activities, they reversed their position once the debut lineup was finalized.”

PocketDol Studio further emphasized their commitment to resolving the matter amicably through open dialogue. “We are prepared to engage in discussions with UNCORE to address any misunderstandings and find a resolution that respects all parties involved,” the agency concluded.

As legal discussions continue, fans remain curious about the future of CLOSE YOUR EYES and its members.
