The KingDom’s Agency To Take Legal Action Against Hwon Host Bar Rumor

GF Entertainment has announced plans to take legal action following The KingDom’s Hwon being involved in a host bar rumor.

The KingDom Member Hwon Involved in Host Bar Rumor

The rumors began circulating when a verified account on the social media platform X released a detailed post accusing Hwon of working at a host bar while promoting as an idol. The post also alleged that Hwon had ghosted the poster after a sexual encounter. The account revealed alleged personal details about Hwon and claimed he had a side gig at a host bar. These establishments are known for offering male companionship as a service to women willing to pay. This includes pouring drinks, engaging in conversation, dancing, singing karaoke, and more, although sexual relations are neither officially offered nor condoned.

In response to these accusations, GF Entertainment has issued an official statement. The label firmly denied the allegations and expressed its intent to pursue legal action against the spread of malicious rumors and defamatory statements about Hwon. GF Entertainment emphasized the severity of the situation, stating that such false accusations not only damage Hwon’s reputation but also affect his mental and emotional well-being.

The statement read, “We are aware of the rumors being circulated online about Hwon. These claims are completely baseless and false. We are taking these defamatory actions very seriously and have already begun legal proceedings to address the spread of these malicious rumors. We will not tolerate any actions that harm the reputation and integrity of our artists.”

The agency further urged fans and the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and to support Hwon during this challenging time. GF Entertainment reassured that they are committed to protecting their artists’ rights and will continue to take necessary legal measures against any further malicious activities.

Fans Express Support for Hwon

Fans of The KingDom have shown overwhelming support for Hwon, expressing their disbelief over the accusations and standing by him through various social media platforms. They have been actively defending him and calling for an end to the spread of false information.

This incident highlights the challenges idols face regarding their privacy and the impact of unfounded rumors on their careers and personal lives. GF Entertainment’s decisive action also underscores the importance of safeguarding their artists against such harmful activities.

Kingdom’s Louis Takes Hiatus Due to Health Concerns

Louis of K-pop boy group KINGDOM will temporarily take a break from group activities to prioritize his health.

On Monday, November 20, GF Entertainment updated fans of Louis’ health condition. “Recently, Louis’ health has continuously gotten worse. But because the artist was strongly determined to carry out his activities, he continued his activities up until now,” the agency said.

However, given that his condition has “continued worsening,” GF Entertainment has decided to put him on a break so he could focus on his being better. “Because we consider our artist’s health our top priority, we discussed the matter with the artist and decided that he should focus on his recovery,” the agency added.

Given his situation, GF Entertainment announced that Louis will not be participating in the fan signing events that are scheduled for the week. Additionally, other planned activities for the idol are also on hold. As for the album retailer, the agency said that they’d release a separate announcement regarding the idol’s participation in it.

While expressing regret for any concern caused by the sudden news, GF Entertainment pledged to provide updates on any changes related to Louis’ activities.

KINGDOM to continue activities without Louis

Following the announcement, fans were quick to send messages of support for Louis on social media, as well as wishes for his fast and safe recovery.

Meanwhile, KINGDOM will proceed with their activities temporarily featuring the remaining six members: Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Ivan, Hwon, and Jahan.

Notably, this isn’t the first time for a KINGDOM member to take a hiatus due to health concerns this year. In April 2023, Arthur also took a break from group activities. At the time, GF Entertainment didn’t disclose details about Arthur’s situation, only mentioning that he’s experiencing “abnormal symptoms.”

In other news, KINGDOM made their comeback in November with their  seventh mini-album History of Kingdom: Part VII. Jahan. Prior to its official release, the album drew backlash for its album cover design because of its resemblance to Quran.
