NCT’s Doyoung, IVE’s An Yu Jin, and TXT’s Yeonjun to Host 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon

The trio previously received praise for their smooth hosting and natural synergy during the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer, also raising expectations for an even more polished and entertaining performance this time around. It’s also no surprise that Doyoung, Yujin, and Yeonjun has been asked to return for the event this year, and it certainly adds to the amazing star power for this year’s event.

This year’s SBS Gayo Daejeon is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded year-end events in K-pop. The initial lineup, revealed on November 13, also included heavyweights such as NCT DREAM, Stray Kids, ITZY, TXT, IVE, NewJeans, ZEROBASEONE, RIIZE, TWS, and NCT WISH. Subsequent announcements also added top-tier acts like SHINee’s Key, NCT 127, ATEEZ, aespa, ENHYPEN, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, BOYNEXTDOOR, and ILLIT on November 26. On December 9, the final wave of artists was also revealed, featuring 2NE1, (G)I-DLE, TREASURE, WayV, BABYMONSTER, CRAVITY, Lee Young Ji, NEXZ, and izna.

The Highly Anticipated Return of K-Pop Legends 2NE1

Fans are especially thrilled about 2NE1, as the legendary group will perform at SBS Gayo Daejeon for the first time in 10 years, also marking their first appearance since 2014. Needless to say, it’s also an event to look forward to for everyone this Christmas.

The 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon will also be broadcast live on December 25 from the beloved INSPIRE Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon. With its electrifying lineup and beloved hosts, this year’s event also promises to be a memorable celebration of K-pop. K-Pop Idols Yeonjun, Doyoung, and An Yujin to Host 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer

The upcoming 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer will see TXT’s Yeonjun, NCT’s Doyoung, and IVE’s An Yujin taking the stage as the first-ever MCs for this summer version of the popular year-end music show. The event, set to happen on July 21 at the INSPIRE Arena, aims to wrap up the first half of the K-pop year with a bang.

SBS introduces Gayo Daejeon Summer with familiar hosts

The Gayo Daejeon Summer is a new addition to SBS’s large-scale music shows, typically held at the end of the year. This is the first time the year-end music program will also be celebrated in the summer. Notably, all three idols have previously served as MCs for the weekly music program “Inkigayo” on SBS.

An Yujin will host Gayo Daejeon for the third consecutive year, having served as MC in 2022 and 2023. Yeonjun, who co-hosted last year’s Gayo Daejeon alongside An Yujin, returns to showcase his hosting skills again. With the addition of NCT’s Doyoung, fans are eager to see the chemistry between these former “Inkigayo” hosts.

As the first MCs of this summer event, Doyoung, An Yujin, and Yeonjun will bring their energy and charisma to the event while introducing performances from popular K-pop artists who have made a significant impact in the first half of 2024.

The production team of this event is working diligently to prepare a spectacular summer K-pop festival. In addition to special performances by artists who have shone brightly in the first half of the year, there will be refreshing performances suited for the summer, setting Gayo Daejeon Summer apart from its year-end counterpart.
