Hyun Bin’s ‘Harbin’ Changes Premiere Date

The highly anticipated historical spy thriller “Harbin”, starring Hyun Bin as the iconic Korean independence fighter Ahn Jung Geun, has officially changes premiere date.

Upcoming Hyun Bin Film “Harbin” Adjusts Release Date to December 24

Originally slated to premiere on December 25, CJ ENM also announced on December 9 that the film will now hit theaters a day earlier, on December 24.

Set in 1909 during the Japanese occupation of Korea, “Harbin” also captures the harrowing journey of resistance fighters striving for their nation’s liberation. With its gripping espionage narrative, the film also shines a spotlight on themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the unyielding determination of those who fought for Korea’s sovereignty.

The star-studded cast also includes Hyun Bin, Lee Dong Wook, Park Jung Min, Jeon Yeo Been, Jo Woo Jin, Park Hoon, Yoo Jae Myung, and Lily Franky, each bringing depth to a tale steeped in both historical significance and cinematic intensity. Unlike traditional portrayals of Ahn Jung Geun as a doctor or activist, “Harbin” also explores his military leadership, offering audiences a fresh perspective on his life and legacy.

Set against the atmospheric backdrop of Harbin, the film also combines edge-of-your-seat action with a heartfelt tribute to Korea’s history. The movie will also star Hyun Bin as Ahn Jung Geun, a Korean independence activist and military leader who played a pivotal role in Korean history. As the release date nears, anticipation for “Harbin” also continues to grow, with fans eager to experience its unique blend of historical drama and thriller elements.

The film’s new premiere on December 24 also positions it as a meaningful holiday release, giving audiences a chance to reflect on a pivotal moment in Korean history while enjoying a cinematic spectacle. “Harbin” also promises to deliver a compelling story that resonates with viewers and honors the spirit of resistance and freedom.
