Nam Yoon Su’s Agency Clarifies Instagram Repost Incident
On April 13, Nam Yoon Su’s agency garten issued an official statement following concerns raised by fans regarding a controversial repost on the actor’s Instagram account. The repost, which contained mature adult content, was quickly deleted but sparked confusion and concern online.
According to the agency, the repost was not the result of hacking but rather an accidental upload. A representative explained, “While driving, his phone was in his pocket, and somehow, the relevant post was uploaded. It was not hacking.” The incident was attributed to Instagram’s new repost feature, which allows users to reshare content from other accounts. This function currently does not require additional confirmation before a post is shared, which may have contributed to the mistake.
“He said he was not aware it had happened and that his phone was in his pocket. This incident happened all inside his pocket,” the statement read.
“Upon checking, [the post] had been up for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, so he was shocked and deleted the post,” it continues. “He considered it a passing incident, however, this [incident] was circulated to many places and reports were made, so we released an official statement.”
They added, “Although it was a short period of time, we are apologetic that an unpleasant video was reposted.”
Nam Yoon Su also addressed the situation directly by sharing an apology through Instagram Stories, expressing his regret and assuring fans it was unintentional.
“I sincerely apologize and feel upset to have caused discomfort to many people,” he wrote. “I will take greater care in the future.”
Nam Yoon Su’s most recent project was the drama “Love in the Big City”.
