ADOR Announces Legal Action to Protect NewJeans’ Rights

ADOR has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting their groups by continuing to take firm legal action against any infringement of NewJeans’ rights.

ADOR Vows to Protect NewJeans’ Rights with Strong Legal Action

On April 9, ADOR issued an official statement addressing the ongoing legal proceedings involving online defamation and other unlawful acts targeting NewJeans. The agency emphasized that it would not tolerate malicious behavior and will pursue strict measures against those who spread harmful content or interfere with the artists’ rights.

“Since NewJeans’ debut, our agency has been continuously monitoring and taking legal action against malicious online posts targeting the artists,” the statement read. “Recently, with the rapid increase in both the volume and severity of malicious posts directed at the artists, we have appointed additional dedicated personnel and further strengthened our response system.”

We are actively collecting evidence of serious rights violations on various online platforms and social media channels including DC Inside, Ilgan Best, Nate Pann, FM Korea, Naver, Blind, DogDrip, TheQoo, Ppomppu, X, YouTube, and more. These violations include defamation based on the artists’ nationality or appearance, the spread of false information (fake news), invasion of privacy, malicious insults, and the use of derogatory terms. Alongside promptly requesting the removal of such content, we are also pursuing legal procedures,” it continued.

This statement follows a private court hearing held on the same day regarding ADOR’s injunction to block the NewJeans members from participating in independent activities under the name NJZ. Only legal representatives from both parties were present during the hearing.

Afterward, ADOR shared, “There have been no significant changes in circumstances since the injunction was granted,” indicating the agency’s continued confidence in its current legal position.

The court is currently expected to announce its ruling at a later date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

NJZ Issues Statement Following Court Order

It’s official: There is a court order prohibiting the members of NewJeans from pursuing activities. In line with that, NJZ has released a statement confirming their legal plans.

NJZ Addresses Shocking Court Order

On March 21, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 50 ruled in favor of ADOR’s injunction request, prohibiting the NJZ members from engaging in independent activities, including signing advertising contracts.

In response to the court’s decision, the members of NJZ released an official statement via the NJZ PR Instagram account, announcing that they plan to contest the ruling. They expressed their commitment to protecting their rights and maintaining their artistic independence, promising to pursue all legal avenues available to them.

We, NJZ, respect the court’s decision,” the statement read. “However, we believe that the decision did not sufficiently take into account the fact that the members’ trust in ADOR has been completely destroyed.”

“Regarding today’s provisional injunction decision, we plan to dispute additional issues through the objection process, and in that process, we will supplement the explanatory materials as much as possible and contest the decision,” it added.

Meanwhile, ADOR also issued an official statement, reaffirming their position and the decision made by the court.

“As ADOR’s status as the agency of NewJeans has been legally confirmed, we will fulfill our responsibilities in supporting the artists moving forward,” the statement read.

“We also plan to provide full on-site support to ensure that this weekend’s ComplexCon performance proceeds under the name of NewJeans, represented by ADOR,” it added. “ADOR sincerely hopes to meet with the artists soon and have an honest conversation.”

Both parties have made it clear that the matter is far from resolved, and further legal proceedings are anticipated. As the controversy unfolds, fans and industry insiders alike also remain closely tuned in to the developments in this high-profile case, eager to see how the dispute will ultimately be resolved.

NJZ Hanni Visa Status Clarified

The representatives of NJZ have addressed concerns regarding member Hanni’s current visa status amid recent speculations. In addition to that, the statement revealed that the idol’s former agency ADOR used her visa status against her.

NJZ Representatives Address Hanni’s Current Visa Status

On February 12, the parents of the NJZ members took to Instagram to clarify the situation, stating that Hanni was issued a new visa on February 11 through proper legal procedures. Hanni, who holds dual citizenship in Australia and Vietnam, has been working under an E-6 (Entertainment) visa that enables her to actively participate in the entertainment industry. However, her previous visa had expired earlier this month, which led to various rumors about her residency status.

Amid the confusion, reports began circulating that ADOR had prepared the necessary documents for a visa extension, but Hanni allegedly refused to sign them. These claims sparked concern among fans and the media, who speculated about potential disruptions to her career and her future activities with NJZ.

n response to these circulating rumors, Hanni’s parents felt it was crucial to step forward and provide an accurate update. They emphasized that all legal procedures were correctly followed and that her new visa is fully valid.

“ADOR pressured both Hanni and her parents by using the sensitive issue of visas, which is naturally a delicate matter for foreign residents in Korea,” the statement read. “They demanded her signature on an extension agreement that listed ADOR as her agency, stating that failure to comply could result in illegal residency.”

Furthermore, they acted inappropriately by submitting personal information and documents requiring her signature to relevant institutions without her consent and only notifying her afterward. Such actions are difficult to understand from a common-sense perspective,” it continued.

“Approximately 70 articles have been published over the past two days, speculating on private details such as the type of visa and its expiration date—information that is not required to be disclosed. This resulted in a serious violation of personal rights,” the statement further said. “We express deep regret that sensitive information, which only ADOR, as the agency, could have access to, has been recklessly disseminated through the media.”

This clarification reassures fans that Hanni’s legal status is secure, allowing her to continue her work with NJZ without any complications.
