In other related news, WEi member Junseo recently faced backlash for a controversy involving his replies in Japanese on the fan community app Bubble. The incident occurred on August 15, an important Korean holiday, when Junseo responded to a fan’s question about his future plans in Japan by answering in Japanese instead of Korean. This sparked criticism from netizens who questioned his choice of language on such a significant day.

Following the backlash, Junseo posted an apology letter in the early hours of August 16, expressing regret for his actions and addressing the concerns raised by fans. This incident has drawn attention to the sensitivity surrounding national holidays and language use among K-pop idols, highlighting the challenges they face in maintaining connections with their global fanbase while respecting cultural contexts.
