Instead of squeezing in next to one of the idols, he joked that he could simply sit in Hanbin’s lap. The M Countdown MC welcomed his friend by patting his leg and gesturing for Hao to have a seat, indicating that the Chinese idol could indeed sit in his lap.

A video clip of this moment went viral on social media, racking up over 150,000 views on TikTok alone. On X (formerly known as Twitter), viewers couldn’t stop talking about what Hao did. The reaction of CIX’s Bae Jinyoung also became a hot topic. One fan pointed out that Jinyoung looked like he was side-eyeing the ZEROBASEONE members. While that wasn’t exactly true, he did look somewhat bemused, which made the incident funnier.

Adding to the amusement, Hao and Hanbin later posted a TikTok video together.

ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao Releases First OST Since Debut

Zhang Hao of the rookie group ZEROBASEONE recently ventured into the world of original soundtracks. His first OST, titled “I WANNA KNOW,” was featured in the third season of the TVING series Transit Love, also known as EXchange. This song dropped at 6:00 PM KST on January 19, marking a significant step in Zhang Hao’s musical journey.

Set to a mid-tempo melody, “I WANNA KNOW” beautifully captures the thrill of falling for someone and the desire to learn every little detail about them. The gentle strumming of an acoustic guitar, along with the delicate tinkling of a piano, creates a vibrant and refreshing background for Zhang Hao’s first OST. About ‘Transit Love’

Transit Love is a Korean reality show that began airing in 2021. It features exes who live under the same roof. Together, they explore their past relationships and the possibility of forming new ones. The show is known for its realistic portrayal of the interactions between former partners. During a YouTube appearance on the popular music talk show “Leemujin Service,” hosted by singer Lee Mujin, Zhang Hao shared the music that has inspired him in his career. During the episode, the ZEROBASEONE member treated the audience to live renditions of his favorite songs, showcasing his impressive vocal talents. His performances included a range of K-Pop tracks, such as “Always” by ZEROBASEONE, “Rain” by Taeyeon, “I Love You” by Position, and “So Bad” by STAYC.

The live singing session also took an unexpected turn when Zhang Hao’s love for playing instruments was mentioned by the host, Lee Mujin. In response, Zhang Hao agreed to play the violin and chose BTS’s “Dynamite” as his song of choice. He spontaneously played the chorus of the song on his violin, with Lee Mujin accompanying him on the guitar.

Zhang Hao concluded his performance with another BTS song “Epiphany,” a solo piece by Jin from BTS’s 2018 album ‘Love Yourself: Answer’. He shared that this song had a special significance to him as it had moved him to tears when he watched a video of Jin performing it at a concert while playing the piano during his trainee days.

The melody left a lasting impression on him, and he had always wanted to perform the song. Luckily, Zhang Hao finally got his chance to do so in the episode.

ZEROBASEONE, the boy group formed through Mnet’s survival show “Boys Planet,” made their debut in July with the EP “Youth In The Shade.” They recently released their second EP, “Melting Point,” on November 6, continuing their journey in the K-Pop scene.

ZEROBASEONE Member Zhang Hao Diagnosed with COVID-19

Zhang Hao is taking some time off for his health. The ZEROBASEONE member has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Unfortunately, this means that the Chinese singer will be missing some of the group’s upcoming schedule.

WAKE ONE Entertainment Shares Update on ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao’s Health

On August 25, WAKEONE Entertainment issued a statement regarding Zhang Hao’s health. According to the agency, they immediately noticed that the ZEROBASEONE member was unwell.

“Zhang Hao’s condition was abnormal, and he suffered from light body aches,” the statement read. “After preemptively taking a rapid antigen test, he was confirmed to have COVID-19.”

Zhang Hao has been reported to be experiencing only a minor symptom of a sore throat, and as a precautionary measure, he is undergoing a five-day isolation period to minimize the risk of infection transmission. In a positive development, all other members of ZEROBASEONE have undergone testing, and their results have come back negative, indicating they are currently free from infection.

Regrettably, due to Zhang Hao’s health condition, he will be unable to participate in the face-to-face signing event originally slated for August 25, 26, and 27. Additionally, the video call event initially planned for the 26th of August has been postponed to a later date. The group and organizers are also prioritizing the safety and well-being of all involved. In line with this, further updates will be provided as Zhang Hao’s condition evolves.

ZEROBASEONE or ZB1 emerged as a South Korean boy band created from Mnet’s competitive reality show “Boys Planet”. Under the management of WAKEONE Entertainment, this ensemble comprises nine talented members. Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook, and Han Yu-jin made their dazzling debut on July 10, 2023. They released the extended play titled “Youth in the Shade” on the same date. Moreover, the group is set to captivate audiences for a span of 2 years and 6 months.
