Aespa has made history on the Melon weekly chart this year with their hit “Supernova,” breaking the record for the longest-running number one song. The track, released on May 13 as a pre-release from their first full-length album, held the top spot for five consecutive weeks (June 17-23), marking the longest streak for any song released in 2024.

In addition to its success on Melon, “Supernova” maintained the number one position on the Bugs and Genie weekly charts for six and five consecutive weeks, respectively. Another title track from their album, “Armageddon,” also performed well, consistently ranking in the top 10.

aespa’s digital dominance translated into multiple accolades, including triple crowns on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo,’ where they secured a total of 12 music show trophies. Their popularity extended globally as well, topping Tencent Music’s integrated K-pop chart in China for six straight weeks, solidifying their status as international hitmakers.

The group is now gearing up for their second solo concert, ‘2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE,’ scheduled for June 29-30 at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium. Following this, they will make their Japanese debut with the single ‘Hot Mess,’ set for release on July 3, furthering their active promotional activities abroad.
