The Seoul International Drama Awards has finally addressed the unexpected cancellation of N.Flying member Yoo Hwe Seung‘s performance during the event.

Seoul International Drama Awards Speaks Up About N.Flying Member’s Cancelled Performance

On September 26, the Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) issued an official statement addressing the sudden cancellation of N.Flying’s Yoo Hwe Seung’s much-anticipated congratulatory performance. The announcement followed disappointment from fans who had eagerly awaited his stage performance at the 2024 awards ceremony.

The SDA committee clarified the situation with their statement: “We apologize that N.Flying’s Yoo Hwe Seung was unable to perform at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 ceremony on September 25. Due to unexpected delays at the venue during the live broadcast, the performance could not take place after the first part of the ceremony.” The apology extended to both the artist, who had prepared extensively, and the fans and viewers who had been eagerly looking forward to the performance.

Acknowledging the frustration caused, the SDA committee expressed regret over the situation, stating, “We sincerely apologize to the artists who put in effort to prepare a great performance, as well as to the fans and viewers who were excited for the show.” They also reassured everyone that measures will be put in place to prevent such incidents from happening in the future: “Right after the live broadcast, we sincerely apologized to the artist and assured them that this won’t happen again. The organizing committee promises to prepare more thoroughly and do everything possible to prevent this from happening in the future.”

The Sudden Announcement

Initially, the SDA had proudly announced performances by popular acts ZEROBASEONE, NMIXX, and N.Flying’s Yoo Hwe Seung. During the live broadcast, however, only NMIXX’s opening act and ZEROBASEONE’s closing performance for the first part of the ceremony were aired. This sudden change in plans has left fans disappointed, but they remain supportive of Yoo Hwe Seung, appreciating the effort and preparation he put into the performance that, unfortunately, did not take place. ‘MUSIC BANK in MADRID’ Moves to Miguel Ríos Auditorium

It’s official: “Music Bank in Madrid” is back on, now scheduled to take place at the Miguel Ríos Auditorium in Rivas Vaciamadrid.

‘Music Bank in Madrid’ Confirmed for Miguel Ríos Auditorium

On September 25, local event organizer Korean Power confirmed the change in venue following recent disruptions.

The Music Bank World Tour Madrid will be held on the scheduled date, October 12, 2024, with the same schedule, at the Miguel Ríos Auditorium in Rivas Vaciamadrid. It’s a well-connected venue (Metro and Intercity buses) and the only one available in the Madrid region with the necessary capacity to accommodate everyone who had already purchased their tickets, without compromising any of the artistic and technical production aspects,” the statement read.

The main change will be that tickets, which were originally all seated, will now be standing tickets both on the floor and in the stands, due to space limitations and to ensure a safe evacuation plan,” it added.

Originally, the concert was set to be held at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on October 12, 2024. However, earlier this month, Real Madrid canceled all concerts at the stadium until March 2025 due to ongoing noise complaints from local residents. This decision came as a surprise to many, including the organizers of “Music Bank in Madrid,” who were reportedly not informed in advance.

Despite the setback, the event will go forward as planned, now taking place at a different venue. The Miguel Ríos Auditorium is also a popular venue known for hosting major concerts and events, providing an excellent backdrop for the K-pop extravaganza.

Fans can look forward to performances from top K-pop acts like ENHYPEN, aespa, BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, NMIXX, KISS OF LIFE, MAMAMOO+, and P1Harmony. The new venue ensures that the excitement will continue on October 12, 2024, with a spectacular lineup set to deliver an unforgettable experience for K-pop fans in Spain.

Min Hee Jin Continues to Push for Reappointment as ADOR CEO

Min Hee Jin has issued a statement in response to ADOR’s latest announcement regarding her position within the company. Min’s latest statement continues to push for her reappointment as the company’s CEO.

Min Hee Jin Pushes for Reappointment as ADOR CEO

On September 25, Min’s legal representation issued the statement.

“Min Hee Jin is wary that extending her term under a flawed contract would not guarantee the normal activities of NewJeans as artists. Therefore, she has clearly expressed her intention to return as CEO and has requested a concrete contract from HYBE that reflects their sincerity. She feels great anger at the repeated media play before any negotiations, with no agreed-upon details regarding the parties involved, the duration, or the authority,” the statement read.

This comes after ADOR revealed they would be holding an extraordinary general meeting to discuss Min’s reappointment as an internal director.

On the morning of September 25, reporter Jang Hyung Woo discussed a phone call with a HYBE PR representative during a radio news interview. The reporter alleged that the representative downplayed the achievements of NewJeans, the successful girl group produced by Min Hee Jin under ADOR. HYBE quickly refuted these claims, issuing a statement denying the remarks attributed to their PR team, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing situation.

This follows the significant developments in August when ADOR announced that Min Hee Jin would no longer serve as CEO, though she would remain as an internal director responsible for producing NewJeans’ content. In response, on September 11, all five members of NewJeans held a live YouTube broadcast, where they issued an ultimatum to HYBE, demanding the reinstatement of Min Hee Jin as CEO by September 25. On September 13, Min Hee Jin filed an injunction seeking her reappointment as both inside director and CEO of ADOR, escalating the situation.

Fans are watching closely as this story unfolds, awaiting further developments.
