BTSSUGA isn’t just a music superstar. He’s also a self-proclaimed “superfan” of Samsung’s Galaxy products. Recently, he interviewed Cho Won-Jun, EVP and Head of Mobile R&D Office at Samsung. They discussed the latest foldable phones: the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.

SUGA’s History with Samsung

Galaxy x SUGA: Galaxy Z Flip5 | Fold5 | Samsung

SUGA shared his history with Samsung, which began with the Galaxy S7 in 2016. He also shared his childhood fascination with assembling computers. “When I was young, I played with computer parts. I loved building things by myself,” he reminisced. Furthermore, he expressed his excitement for the new Galaxy Z Fold 5, a device he now owns.

On July 26, Samsung invited him to an event called Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July 2023. It showed off the company’s innovations, especially new the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. People asked SUGA for his thoughts on them. Moreover, his single “Daechwita” was played at the event.

SUGA was among the first to own the Galaxy Z Fold 5. His unit even has “D-DAY” engraved on the back, named after his chart-topping album. Pictures of SUGA holding the Galaxy Z Fold 5 with TM Roh appeared on Samsung’s social media accounts. (Roh is President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics.)

SUGA‘s relationship with Samsung goes beyond mere ownership. He has shown a special affection for Galaxy products among BTS members. At a concert in Newark, New Jersey, he only took selfies with fans who owned Galaxy smartphones. He declared, “No iPhone, only Galaxy.”

Exploring the Galaxy Z Fold 5

In the interview with Choi Won-Joon, SUGA‘s questions revolved around design and engineering. He asked about the foldable hinge and the foldable display itself. SUGA‘s enthusiasm for the topic was evident throughout the conversation.

Both he and Choi believe in enhancing user experience through improved design and larger screens. Choi elaborates, “Samsung has had a vision for a long time that phones should be smaller while the display size is bigger. With advancements in foldable display technology, we knew we could do that.”

Choi pointed out specific improvements in the Fold 5. These newer foldable devices are thinner and more compact, providing a better grip. They also have a space in the hinge part. Choi says, “It folds with almost no gaps, but we created a display structure that allows it to be folded in a round shape from the inside.”

SUGA enjoyed their conversation immensely. He said, “I feel like I’m listening to a lecture, but it’s so much fun. I mean it. It’s really fun to talk with these developers.”

On BTS’ SUGA and the Galaxy Z Fold 5

Choi concluded with a reflection on the hard work behind the products. He said, “There are so many worries and so much blood, sweat, and tears involved in making something until it’s released.” Their conversation provided a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Samsung’s latest foldable devices. It serves as a testament to the creativity and dedication involved in creating cutting-edge technology,

Fans of SUGA, collectively called ARMY, can now pre-order Samsung’s latest products, including the foldable smartphone, through its official website. They’re set for an official release on August 11. Early adopters can benefit from free memory upgrades and other bonuses.

Eat and Drink the Jeon Jungkook Way With These Recipes

BTS‘s Jungkook has been making waves not only in the music industry but also in the culinary world. Recently, he tweaked his viral Buldak Mayo Perilla Oil Makguksu recipe, a yummy buckwheat noodle dish he introduced in April. The original recipe quickly went viral, with fans across the globe cooking it and posting their reviews. However, Jungkook‘s culinary journey didn’t stop there; he made some tweaks to the recipe, making it even more delicious.

https://twitter.com/_RapperJK/status/1685851203005976576

The new version of the makguksu recipe doesn’t differ significantly from the original, but Jungkook believes that the latest one has a tastier edge. He decreased the quantity of perilla oil and added dark soy sauce, ground pepper, and fried sesame seeds. The ingredients for Jungkook‘s new Buldak Mayo Perilla Oil Makguksu include three tablespoons of perilla oil, two tablespoons of Cham sauce, one tablespoon of dark soy sauce, one tablespoon of Buldak sauce, one tablespoon of Buldak mayo sauce, one egg yolk, a little bit of ground pepper, and finally, some fried sesame seeds to give the dish a nutty taste.

Jungkook‘s creativity doesn’t stop at the ingredients he uses. He also encourages fans to add what they like to the recipe, such as onions, garlic, or red chili flakes. However, he emphasizes that some seasoned laver, also known as seaweed, is a must as a garnish. He even shared a tip for the best way to enjoy the dish, stating that the noodles should be as cold as possible while eating.

The culinary creations of Chef Jungkook

But Jungkook‘s culinary talents extend beyond traditional Korean dishes. He also shared the secret to his signature highball cocktail during his appearance on SUGA’s Suchwita. He begins by chilling a glass by stirring ice in it. Then, he adds a shot or more of whisky, according to preference. The rest of the glass is filled with sparkling water, followed by a squeeze of lemon into the drink. The lemon can also be placed on top as a garnish. Finally, all the ingredients are mixed together to produce the perfect blend.

Jungkook‘s obvious love for food and drink added yet another layer to his multifaceted personality. His willingness to share these recipes with ARMY reflects his down-to-earth nature and connection with his audience. As fans eagerly await his mini album set to release in November, they can enjoy these delightful recipes and experience a taste of his world. Whether it’s that revamped makguksu or his own highball cocktail, Jungkook‘s culinary creations offer insight into his creativity and love for food and drink. – K-Pop News Writer

BTS’ V Dabbles in Nail Art for the First Time: How You Can Do It Too

Kim Taehyung, also known as V from the world-renowned K-pop group BTS, recently took to the fan community platform Weverse to share his newest style exploration: nail art. His unexpected reveal sparked a conversation about the growing trend of nail art for men. This trend breaks down gender stereotypes and encourages men to embrace this creative outlet.

V‘s venture into nail art was not a solitary decision. It was a first for him, and he explained that he had his nails painted for a specific filming project. His inspiration to try this came from his fellow BTS member, j-hope, who has been rocking painted nails for a while. His hyung’s unique style seems to have encouraged Taehyung to give it a try.

“For the first time in my life, I got my nails done like Hobi-hyung. I tried it because I think it’ll be my first and maybe last time doing it,” V explained in a live broadcast. “I was filming something that I needed to have my nails done for. So I didn’t get it removed, I just got the coating. They said it doesn’t last forever, it only lasts three weeks.”

This fresh look was a delightful surprise for fans, who were glad to learn that Taehyung was busy with something, even if he couldn’t tell them much about it. Although the live stream was brief, fans were thrilled that V still made an effort to connect with them. The five minutes he spent talking to them were enough to lift ARMY’s spirits and brighten their day.

The nail art V showcased was minimalist, featuring red lines and dots, with a sad face on his index finger. This simple yet striking design is a perfect example of how men can experiment with nail art.

Get nail art just like V

So how can men get started with nail art? The key is to keep it simple. Solid colors, especially black, are a good starting point. You can also experiment with different colors across different nails. As you get more comfortable, you can try minimalist nail art designs like dots, lines, or French tips.

One of the trendiest men’s nail art styles is abstract or geometric. This can include wavy lines or shapes like circles and triangles, often done in black or white. Nail stickers, featuring small, bold designs like words, smiley faces, or flames, are also a popular choice. Check out some of the designs the K-pop group P1Harmony tried when they painted each other’s nails for a YouTube video.

Gold nails are another trend gaining attention. They mimic flashy gold bling, adding a touch of class to men’s nail art. These are often more elaborate, with some featuring 3D elements, moving away from the minimalist style. Remember, the sky’s the limit when it comes to men’s nail art. The only commonality we’ve noticed is nail length and shape—most men who wear nail polish do so with short, trimmed nails.

Men’s nail art is a trend that’s beginning to take off, and it’s about time. It has nothing to do with biological sex or sexuality. It’s a fashion statement that shows a man’s confidence and willingness to defy gender norms. So why not try it? After all, if V of BTS can do it, so can you. – K-Pop News Writer

How to Deal With Adversity, According to BTS’ Jungkook and SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu

In the face of adversity, the path forward may appear daunting. However, K-pop stars Jungkook of BTS and Mingyu of SEVENTEEN recently shared their strategies for dealing with such challenges, offering fans a beacon of hope.

As any ARMY worth their salt knows, Jungkook does live broadcasts on Weverse more often these days. During a recent broadcast, he read a comment from a fan who was finding university life hard. The fan indicated they felt like giving up, so they turned to their bias for advice.

Jungkook was only too happy to help. He said, “Do you want to cry and give up? What should you do… There are a lot of hard things in this world, right? I think there are many difficulties in life. But I don’t want to say ‘everything in life is difficult’ or ‘work hard.’ I just hope you like attending college. I don’t think I can give you a solution, but I hope you, yourself, can decide well for yourself. I hope ARMYs won’t have a hard time. But to not have a hard time, you’d need to put in the effort yourself, right?”

This advice, while simple, is so profound. Jungkook acknowledged the fan’s situation but didn’t offer clichéd advice. Instead, he encouraged them to try and find joy in their journey, emphasizing the importance of personal effort in overcoming adversity. His words serve as a reminder that it’s OK to struggle and that finding personal satisfaction in what we do can make the journey easier.

Mingyu on the power of perseverance

Similarly, when asked about how he handles stressful situations, Mingyu shared that perseverance is key. At least as far as he’s concerned, anyway. During a recent online fansign, a CARAT asked him for advice. He said, “Honestly, I don’t try to tell myself I have to do extremely well, but I also don’t give up. I try to hold out.”

His strategy is to do whatever it takes to weather the storm, which is a testament to his resilience. Mingyu’s words underscore the importance of patience and persistence. He believes there’s nothing wrong with not being perfect or not doing well. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is to keep going even when things are tough. His advice resonates with fans worldwide, as does Jungkook’s, offering a beacon of hope to those who need it.

‘97-liners, best buds for life

Beyond their individual success, Jungkook and Mingyu share a deep, longstanding friendship. Part of the renowned ’97-line squad, they’ve been friends since their debut, their bond strengthening over the years. Their camaraderie was recently on display when Mingyu made a surprise appearance on a late-night live broadcast with Jungkook, a moment that sent fans into a frenzy of excitement.

Their friendship goes beyond casual hangouts. They’ve collaborated on dance challenges, their most recent video going viral and trending for several days. Jungkook even invited Mingyu to learn the choreography for his solo single, “Seven,” and film a dance challenge with him, much to the delight of their fans. In an industry characterized by competition, their friendship is a breath of fresh air. It’s a bond fans admire and look forward to seeing more of in the future. – K-Pop News Writer

“SEVEN” Producers Allegedly Made Xenophobic Comments About Jungkook

BTSJungkook‘s hit singleSEVEN” has been making waves on the charts, but the song’s producers are now facing backlash for some comments they made. BTS’ fans, collectively known as ARMY, are calling out Andrew Watt and Cirkut, the producers of “SEVEN,” for their offensive and xenophobic remarks about Jungkook.

The controversy began when Forbes published an interview with Watt and Cirkut about the success of “SEVEN.” While they had many positive things to say about Jungkook, some of their comments didn’t sit well with ARMY.

First, Cirkut referred to ARMY as “rabid,” a term that many feel perpetuates negative stereotypes about K-pop fans. He commented on the overwhelming response from Jungkook‘s followers on social media, stating, “It’s amazing how fans of BTS and Jungkook are just so supportive and loyal. It’s just pretty crazy.”

Jeon Jungkook, American superstar?

However, what really rubbed ARMY the wrong way was Watt’s comparison of Jungkook‘s release of “SEVEN” to Justin Timberlake‘s solo career. Timberlake was a member of *NSYNC until 2002, the year he went his own way, an implication that did not go unnoticed by fans. Many fans took to social media to express their concerns about the insinuation that Jungkook might leave BTS.

In the same vein, Watt referred to Jungkook as a “superstar” but distinguished between his career before and after the release of “SEVEN.” Watt stated that Jungkook has now reached the level of an “American superstar.” Fans interpreted this as an attempt to downplay his previous success as a Korean superstar. It seemed to them that Watt wanted to emphasize Jungkook’s American success as if it were more important.

ARMY asserted Jungkook’s identity as a Korean artist and criticized the song’s producers for their comments, which some said smacked of xenophobia. They disliked the Western media’s attempts to claim Jungkook’s success as their own and strip him of his Korean identity.

This issue underscores the importance of cultural sensitivity and respect for artists’ identities and backgrounds. Despite the ruckus, “SEVENcontinues to set records, proving Jungkook’s undeniable talent and global appeal. – K-Pop News Writer
