BIGBANG’s G-Dragon is reportedly gearing up for a major return with a new full-length album next month, marking a significant moment in his illustrious career as a solo artist!
Is G-Dragon Releasing a Full-Length Album Next Month?
On January 6, TenAsia reported that G-Dragon’s long-awaited album is tentatively scheduled for release in February. This news has already sparked excitement among fans, who have been eagerly awaiting new music from the K-pop icon.
In 2024, G-Dragon treated fans to two pre-release tracks: “POWER,” which dropped on October 31, and “HOME SWEET HOME,” released on November 22 and featuring fellow BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung. Both tracks received widespread acclaim for their innovative sound and heartfelt lyrics, and they are expected to be part of the upcoming album, adding to the anticipation.
In response to the report, a representative from G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation commented, “It’s true that the agency is currently working on plans [for G-Dragon’s solo album release in February], but nothing has been finalized yet.” While fans await official confirmation, the prospect of a new album has already created a buzz.
If the album is released as planned, it will also mark G-Dragon’s first full-length album in over a decade. His last album ‘COUP D’ETAT’ (2012), remains a cornerstone of his solo career. Featuring hits like “Black” (featuring BLACKPINK’s Jennie), “Who You?”, “Crooked,” and “Niliria,” the 12-track album showcased G-Dragon’s creative versatility and cemented his status as a trendsetter in the global music scene.
As one of K-pop’s most influential artists, G-Dragon’s return promises to deliver not only chart-topping music but also an unforgettable cultural moment. Fans worldwide are eager to see how the artist will redefine his artistry in this new chapter of his career.
