ENHYPEN‘s Jay has been lauded for his quick thinking during a recent concert in Newark. As part of their FATE World Tour, the group performed at the Prudential Center on October 18 and 19. During one of those shows, a fan in the General Admission (GA) section reportedly fainted.
@oxforest Jay’s act when he found out a fan had fainted 🥺 (and en-ha quick reaction) we proud of you guys 👍❤️ #엔하이픈 #enhypen #Jay #제이 #ParkJay #fateworldtour #parkjongseong thanx to the owner of videos ©jjongjjin.0420 & story gossipe
How Jay reacted to the situation
The GA section operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. This often results in a densely packed section leading to restricted mobility and potential risks such as intoxicated attendees, obstructed stage views, or tripping. Furthermore, Extended periods in such crowded spaces can cause dehydration or overheating, both of which can lead to fainting.
A video clip from the concert, originally posted by user @ENHYPENSJAYY, showcased Jay‘s reaction to the situation. As the video spread across social media platforms, it quickly amassed over 189k views and was reshared more than 2.7k times. In the clip, while Heeseung was addressing the audience, Jay‘s attention was drawn to a particular spot in the crowd. His face, filled with concern, signaled the gravity of the situation. Without hesitation, he alerted Heeseung and the rest of the group. Jay‘s voice can be distinctly heard, directing security to attend to the fan.
After the situation was handled and the fan received medical attention, Jay took a moment to address the audience. He emphasized the importance of safety and well-being, urging fans to stay hydrated and seek help if needed. This incident not only highlighted his quick thinking but also his genuine concern for fans. Another video that circulated showed Jay comforting the fan, stating they “will be fine.”

Other safety challenges
However, the tour has faced other safety challenges. ENHYPEN‘s send-off event after concerts, where fans could interact with the group, led to some attendees leaving early to secure a good spot. The confined space of the event resulted in pushing and shoving, and ENHYPEN even had to leave early due to safety concerns. After a recent Newark concert, a fan documented the chaotic rush to the send-off area, highlighting the potential dangers.
In other news, ENHYPEN has been nominated for the Worldwide Fans’ Choice Award at the 2023 MAMA Awards, scheduled for November 28 and 29 in Tokyo. They will also attend the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival on December 9 in Saitama, Japan. Additionally, the group is set to make a comeback with their fifth mini-album, ORANGE BLOOD. It will drop on November 17 at 2:00 PM KST. Promotional content for the album will start from midnight of October 27 KST.
All told, safety remains paramount, and it’s nice to see idols like Jay prioritize fans’ welfare. – K-Pop News Writer
