Jo has made a surprising decision about his career. The young idol leaves DXMON just 8 months after the group’s debut.
Jo Leaves DXMON 8 Months After Debut
On September 29, H Music Entertainment officially announced that Jo, a member of DXMON, will be leaving the group. The agency shared a statement confirming Jo’s departure, marking the end of his activities with the boy group. From this point forward, DXMON will continue promoting as a five-member group.
“Jo has recently been on a break due to health reasons, and after serious discussions with us, it has been decided that he will end his activities as [a member of] DXMON,” the statement read. “From now on, DXMON will be promoting as a five-member group, and we ask that you also send your warm support to Jo, who will be walking a new path.”
Jo had been on a hiatus since June 11, 2024, during which time he paused his activities with the group for personal reasons. While fans had been hopeful for his return, this recent announcement has clarified his permanent exit.
DXMON Moves On
DXMON, originally a six-member boy group, is under H Music Entertainment (previously known as NV Entertainment and SSQ Entertainment). The group currently consists of Minjae, Seita, Hee, TK, and Rex. Despite Jo’s departure, DXMON is expected to continue their activities and maintain their momentum in the K-pop scene.
DXMON first gained attention with their pre-debut single, released on January 1, 2024, giving fans a glimpse of their potential. The group officially debuted just over two weeks later, on January 17, 2024, with their mini album titled ‘Hyperspace’. The album showcased the group’s unique musical style and energetic performances, earning them a growing fanbase.
Though the departure of Jo may come as a disappointment to fans, DXMON will carry on as a five-member team, continuing to create music and connect with their audience. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for their future projects as the group embarks on the next chapter of their journey.
