tvN has announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated drama “Is It Fate?”, starring Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop. The new series, based on a popular webtoon, will debut on July 22, airing in the Monday-Tuesday slot at 8:40 p.m. KST.

Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop rekindle love on “Is it fate?”

“Is It Fate?” tells the story of young individuals who rediscover love and chase their dreams after reconnecting unexpectedly with their first love. Kim So Hyun portrays Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer wary of love due to past heartbreaks. Her world turns upside down when she meets Kang Hoo Young, played by Chae Jong Hyeop, who witnessed some of her lowest moments.

Kang Hoo Young, a charming and intelligent financial planner from the United States, feels unfulfilled in his career. Returning to Korea rekindles his past feelings for his high school first love, Lee Hong Joo. Chae Jong Hyeop expressed excitement and honor in portraying such a complex character.

Yoon Ji On joins the cast as Bang Joon Ho, a free-spirited writer aiming to change his past. He shared his excitement about collaborating with the respected directors and actors in this promising drama. SISTAR’s Dasom plays Kim Hye Ji, Lee Hong Joo’s best friend, an English teacher who has blossomed since high school. Dasom mentioned her enjoyment in portraying the charming character and her deep affection for the project.
