SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, known as the face of the group, recently set the internet ablaze with his latest photoshoot for Cosmopolitan Korea. Known for his captivating presence, Mingyu‘s new short ‘do and toned physique were the highlights of what Carats are calling his “hottest photoshoot ever.”

The photoshoot, titled “Dancing With Bvlgari,” was orchestrated by a talented team that showcased Mingyu in a fresh, artistic light. Lee Mingyu was in charge of styling, with Lee Byungho as the fashion director, Byun Eunji as the art director, and Jeon Suin handling set design. Mingyu wore five different outfits, each complemented by jewelry from the Bvlgari Serpenti collection. The first look, a brown heavy leather jacket, highlighted his muscular physique, leaving fans in awe. This was followed by a captivating black fur outfit, where Mingyu’s alluring poses added depth to the close-up shots.

His third outfit, brown leather pants and a textured shirt, was photographed from a long-angle perspective to highlight his strong presence. He then wore a classic black vest and pants, showing his poise. The final layout saw Mingyu don a rhinestone-studded black leather jacket while holding a burning rose in one hand. That ended the photoshoot on a dramatic and impactful note.

Mingyu wants to keep going

In an interview conducted prior to SEVENTEEN’s appearance at the UNESCO Youth Forum, Mingyu reflected on the prospect of speaking at the prestigious event. “I’ve always wanted to do a speech at some point, but now that it’s actually happening, I’m nervous. I feel like this is the most nervous I’ve been in my life,” he said with a laugh. “Although I feel the pressure, I also have a large desire to do well. I think I will speak about what kind of impact our activities as idols have on youth.”

Mingyu also talked about how he felt when SEVENTEEN sold 5.2 million copies of their latest EP SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN. “It’s great—though we get the feeling of happiness seeing the numbers, there’s also a sense of great pressure that it gives. It makes us think until how far we can go and how much more we can grow, but we keep on going. We have to keep going even more no matter what.”

Mingyu‘s description of SEVENTEEN as a consistent team highlighted his deep bond with the other members. Despite his individual achievements, his dedication to the group remains strong. He said, “I don’t think that SEVENTEEN ten years ago and SEVENTEEN ten years later will change. We’re a team that shines when thirteen members are on the stage.”

This balance of individuality and group solidarity is what continues to endear Mingyu to fans worldwide. And yes, his visuals don’t hurt, either. – K-Pop News Writer
