Moonbin Tribute Track Set for Release on April 2025

On March 28, it was reported that Moonbin’s close friends and fellow artists will come together to release a special song on April 19, 2025, marking the second anniversary of his passing. The song is intended as a tribute to his memory and a way to express their love and gratitude for him.

According to the report, the tribute project will feature Moonbin’s ASTRO members—Cha Eun Woo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha—as well as his younger sister, Billlie’s Moon Sua. Several of his 1998-liner friends, including SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and DK, as well as members of VIVIZ, are also expected to participate.

Additionally, another report claimed that MONSTA X’s I.M, Kihyun, and Minhyuk; SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Mingyu; Ungjae; Weki Meki’s Choi Yoo Jung and Kim Do Yeon; SF9’s Chani; and Stray Kids’ Bang Chan will also contribute to the tribute. Cha Eun Woo has reportedly played a major role in organizing the project, personally reaching out to many of their mutual friends to make it happen.

In response to the reports, ASTRO’s agency Fantagio also confirmed, “Moonbin’s friends will be coming together to release a new song in April.” They added, “This song will be structured as a letter from his friends to Moonbin, and we will share more details about the participating artists and the song soon.”

Fantagio also expressed their hopes that the tribute song will serve as a source of comfort for fans who continue to cherish Moonbin’s memory, as well as a heartfelt gift to honor his legacy.
