By April 8, just a day after its release, ‘The Firstfruit’ had already reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 14 different countries, including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Poland, Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Norway, Peru, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The album’s success also showcases Mark’s powerful international appeal and the anticipation surrounding his solo ventures.
In addition to its iTunes domination, the album also climbed to the top of QQ Music’s digital album sales chart in China, one of the largest music platforms in Asia. Over in Japan, “The Firstfruit” also rose to the top of AWA’s realtime rising chart, further proving Mark’s strong presence in the Asian music market.
Meanwhile, his title track “1999” also struck a chord with domestic listeners as well, claiming the No. 1 spot on Bugs’ realtime chart in South Korea—highlighting his popularity both at home and abroad.
