KISS OF LIFE has officially apologized after a recent controversy surrounding a video uploaded to their official YouTube channel. The official apology was shared by S2 Entertainment after netizens reacted negatively to the video.
S2 Entertainment Issues Apology for Controversial KISS OF LIFE Video
On April 3, the group’s agency, S2 Entertainment, released an English statement addressing the issue. The apology came in response to a video posted on April 2, which featured the members engaging in a concept inspired by “old school hip hop.” However, shortly after its release, the video faced backlash from viewers who expressed concern over cultural insensitivity, particularly in how the genre and associated styles were portrayed.
S2 Entertainment stated, “We sincerely apologize for the discomfort caused by the video. We recognize the importance of cultural respect and are reflecting deeply on the matter. The video has since been removed, and we will take extra care in future content production.”
“Our members and team promise to approach cultural references with greater caution and respect moving forward. All related content has been removed from all of our channels,” it added.
The agency also emphasized its commitment to learning from the incident and ensuring that similar issues do not arise again.
In related news, KISS OF LIFE member Belle was unable to join the rest of the group during their concert in Hamburg in March. Belle had been diagnosed with a cold and, as a result, would not be participating in KISS OF LIFE’s ‘KISS ROAD’ concert in Hamburg scheduled for later that day.
Meanwhile, the group is currently on the road for their world tour. KISS OF LIFE recently made a stop in Manila, Philippines, where fans were delighted to see the members’ performances.
