Sony Music Entertainment has a huge surprise for the K-pop scene. The label has just announced their new boy group who is set to debut next month!

Sony Music Entertainment Reveals New Boy Group KJRGL

Sony Music Korea and Sony Music Japan have joined forces to create an exciting new K-pop boy group KJRGL. This group, which consists of three Korean members and three Japanese members, is set to make a splash in the K-pop scene with their debut album “Overture ~ The Blue Wave,” scheduled for release in September.

The name KJRGL is an acronym that stands for “Kind (of) Just Right Good Luck,” encapsulating the group’s positive and hopeful outlook. Additionally, the name cleverly combines the Japanese word “Kujira” and the Korean word “Golae,” both of which mean “whale.” This symbolizes the group’s aim to make a significant impact in the music industry, just as a whale makes waves in the ocean.

The group’s lineup features Akira, Kouki, Dien, Saeron, Riku, and Isaac, each bringing their unique talents and experiences to the table. Notably, several members have previously gained attention on popular trainee competition shows: Dien and Riku on “Boys’ Planet,” Akira on “Tora Project,” and Kouki on “Produce 101 Japan.” These experiences have honed their skills and built a solid fanbase even before their official debut.

KJRGL’s journey will kick off with the release of their pre-debut single “Prologue ~ the Deepest Blue” on September 4, which is expected to give fans a taste of their unique style and musical direction. Following that, the group will make their highly anticipated official debut on September 18, 2024, with the full album “Overture ~ The Blue Wave.”

With the backing of both Sony Music Korea and Sony Music Japan, KJRGL is poised to bridge cultures and captivate audiences in both Korea and Japan, as well as globally. Fans are eagerly awaiting their debut, and KJRGL is expected to be a fresh and dynamic addition to the K-pop world.
