The teaser signals Youngjae’s imminent return with a digital single album titled ‘T.P.O.’ In this teaser, Youngjae exudes a vibrant summer vibe as he enjoys leisurely moments abroad, basking in the sun and embracing a relaxed atmosphere alongside friends.

Fans eagerly anticipate the release of Youngjae’s highly anticipated new song “T.P.O,” scheduled to drop on July 9 at 6 PM KST. The teaser promises a refreshing and upbeat track that aligns perfectly with the summer season, highlighting Youngjae’s musical versatility and charisma. As anticipation builds among listeners and GOT7 enthusiasts, Youngjae’s solo comeback is poised to make a significant impact in the K-pop scene, showcasing his evolving artistry and distinctive style.

Choi Young Jae, known professionally as Youngjae, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actor born on September 17, 1996. He gained fame as the main vocalist of the popular K-pop group GOT7.

Youngjae began his journey in the entertainment industry by entering the JYP Entertainment training system in 2013, successfully auditioning from his gifted music school in Mokpo. After just seven months of training, he made his debut with GOT7.

In addition to his group activities, Youngjae ventured into solo music, making his solo debut on October 5, 2021, with the release of his 1st mini album titled “COLORS from Ars,” featuring the title track “Vibin’.” His solo career has seen him actively engage with fans through various social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, and SoundCloud.

As a member of GOT7, Youngjae has contributed significantly to the group’s success, known for their dynamic performances and infectious music. His role as the main vocalist has been pivotal in shaping the group’s distinctive sound and establishing their presence in the global K-pop scene.

GOT7 Pens Letters to Fans for 10th Debut Anniversary

It has been a decade since K-pop boy group GOT7 made their debut. And to celebrate their 10th anniversary, the members penned heartfelt letters for the fans!

To note, the hitmakers behind the tracksHard Carry,”Just Right,” “NANANA,” and many more made their official debut on January 16, 2014. As a way of commemorating their 10 years in the industry this 2024, the group’s official X account posted photos of the members in polaroid shots with the hashtag #GOT7FOREVER and #ADecadeWithGOT7.

Although all members left JYP Entertainment in 2020, each member — Mark, JAY B, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom – have been vocal on how they’d still want to do group activities as GOT7.

GOT7 members’ message for the fans

On their personal social media accounts, the members also shared their gratitude for having achieved the milestone. Jackson Wang, the group’s main rapper, took the chance to look back on their journey and thank the people who have been part of it. 

“I love you all, the time you all spent with us was precious,” Jackson said. Moreover, he also emphasized how much he puts importance on their supporters. “I’ve always wanted to make our fandom and crowd proud, as a team, and also as an individual.” In his letter, he said that GOT7 wouldn’t be where they are today without the group’s fanbase, Ahgases. 

On the other hand, Park Jinyoung, who is currently performing his mandatory service, also took the time to celebrate the group’s anniversary with the fans. 

In his handwritten letter, Jinyoung said that the 10 years did not seem like a long time and he feels like they could go on even longer. Furthermore, the singer promised to return healthily from the military.

 

Meanwhile, JAY B, the group’s leader who is also in the military, stated that he treasures all the moments they had in the past. “We GOT7, will work hard so we become artists you can have pride in. Thank you for trusting and loving GOT7,” he shared. 

 

For his part, Mark Tuan mentioned in his note that despite not having group activities for a year and a half now, the members would like to get together and perform as a septet on stage soon. With this, he then asked fans to patiently wait for their comeback.

 

Message from the maknae line

The group’s youngest member, Yugyeom, also penned a message for the anniversary. In here, the maknae said that he wants to become a person Ahgases can be proud of which is why he worked hard making new music. Notably, he announced in the same letter that he will be dropping his first solo studio album Trust Me, slated for release on February 21.

On his radio show, Youngjae also opened up about how meaningful it is to celebrate a decade in their industry. “We were very considerate towards each other, and we thought of each other a lot.” 

 

While the rest of the members shared emotional posts, Bambam greeted the group and the fans lightly by posting memes. Showing a glimpse of the boys’ bond, the “Slow Mo singer uploaded funny pictures and clips of the members both on his Instagram and X accounts. “We’ve been through a lot and that’s what makes us strong and special,” Bambam said.

Aside from the heartwarming messages, all the members wished for the fans’ happiness and good health as well, showing their genuine love for their supporters. Ahgases, in return, responded with a promise to stay with the boy group for a long, long time.

GOT7’s Youngjae Drops Teaser for ‘Do It’

Mark your calendars, AHGASEs! Youngjae of K-pop boy group GOT7 is making a comeback with his first solo full-length album Do It.

On Tuesday, October 17, his agency SUBLIME released the first teaser poster for the upcoming release. In the photo, a football helmet is seen lying on the lawn. 

Do It is slated for a November 6 release. Aside from that, other details about the album such as its title track, theme, and number of songs have yet to be announced. Prior to the official album release, a track list, highlight medley, and concept film will be available to fans. 

Moreover, Do It will serve as Youngjae’s new music offering in eight months following the release of the digital single Errr Day” in March. 

AHGASEs’ reaction

Although no other details were provided yet, fans are already hyped up by the idea that Youngjae will be back with new music. 

On social media, fans are speculating as to how the sports-themed teaser will fit in the concept of the album. Others are also expressing their wishlist on featured collaborations for the album. 

One reaction that particularly stood out following the announcement though was from GOT7’s Bambam. In a tweet, the Thai rapper compiled the recent activities of his members. 

“GOT7 keeps you busy,” he wrote. 

For 2023 alone, the GOT7 members have embarked on their solo international concert tours and released solo albums. Meanwhile, JAY B and Jinyoung are serving in the military. 

Youngjae as a solo artist

In 2014, Youngjae made his debut as a member of GOT7. After the group left JYP Entertainment in 2021, he made his solo debut in October 2021 with the mini-album Colors from Ars. 

Since then, he released the digital singles “Walk With Me” and Errr Day,” and his second EP Sugar. 

Apart from that, Youngjae also ventured into acting in musicals such as Midnight Sun and The Days. 

Additionally, he also sang OSTs for K-dramas like “Pop Star” for the series So I Married the Anti-fan and “On My Way” for The Golden Spoon.
