GOT7 Reportedly Paid for Siam Paragon Shooting Victim’s Funeral

The member of GOT7 have always been supportive of their fans and they are proving it in a truly selfless way. The idol group reportedly paid for the funeral of one of the victims of the Siam Paragon shooting. According to several reports, GOT7 had learned that the victim was a fan of the group and wanted to show their support to the AHGASE’s family.

On October 3, a tragic shooting incident occurred at Bangkok’s luxurious Siam Paragon shopping mall, leaving five people injured and causing the immediate death of two individuals. Among the victims was ‘A,’ who was grievously injured during the incident.

It came to light that ‘A’ was an avid fan of the popular K-Pop group GOT7. The news of her being a GOT7 fan reached the members of the group, including BamBam, Mark, and Jay B. In a display of support and condolences, the members sent flowers and comforting messages to ‘A’ and her family.

However, on the morning of October 13, it was heartbreakingly revealed that ‘A’ had succumbed to her injuries. In response to this tragic loss, reports from Thai media outlets indicated that GOT7 member BamBam reached out to ‘A’s family and expressed his willingness to cover the funeral expenses.

The shocking incident occurred when a 14-year-old Thai boy indiscriminately opened fire in the bustling Siam Paragon shopping mall. This senseless act resulted in the immediate fatalities of two women, a Chinese tourist, and a woman from Myanmar. Several others were injured, including ‘A.’ She was also struck by two bullets in her brain and two more in her ribs, leaving her in a coma.

This tragic incident not only took innocent lives but also touched the hearts of individuals like BamBam and GOT7, who offered their support during this difficult time.

The 97-Liners, a popular K-Pop friendship group, has gained an iconic status within the industry. Initially consisting of GOT7’s Yugyeom and BTS’s Jungkook, this group has expanded to include other notable members such as GOT7’s BamBam, ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo, SEVENTEEN’s The8, DK, and Mingyu, as well as NCT’s Jaehyun. BamBam Dishes on Unexpected 97-Liners Activities

Fans have often wondered about the activities this tight-knit group engages in when they hang out together. Luckily, BamBam recently provided some insight into their gatherings during the latest episode of his YouTube program “Bam House.” In a conversation with TXT’s Yeonjun, various topics were discussed, including their friendships with fellow idols.

The discussion turned to Yeonjun’s connections with other idols from the ’99-line,’ which includes Stray Kids’ Changbin, SEVENTEEN’s Dino, and Golden Child’s TAG. BamBam, intrigued by their interactions, asked Yeonjun about the nature of their meetings. He admitted that the 97-Liners typically don’t engage in deep conversations during their gatherings, preferring activities like bowling instead.

Yeonjun, on the other hand, shared that the ’99-line’ often delves into serious topics when they meet. This revelation surprised BamBam, who expressed his amazement by recounting that, when he was their age, the ’97-line’ wasn’t particularly focused on such weighty discussions. In BamBam’s view, none of the ’97-line’ members were that serious during their younger years, showcasing the evolution of their friendship and interests over time.

It’s no surprise that the 97-Liners choose to have fun when they are together. Considering their busy schedules, it’s understandable why they would prefer to simply unwind whenever they are in each others’ company. With that in mind, fans are surely grateful that the idols have each other to rely on whenever they simply want to hang out

GOT7’s JAY B Signs With Mauve Company

JAY B of K-pop boy group GOT7 has signed an exclusive contract with Mauve Company, the agency announced on Friday, October 6. 

According to the agency, the move of becoming the artist’s “precious home” was made “based on deep trust.” 

Now that they’re handling JAY B’s career, Mauve Company promised that they will support the artist’s activities. This includes singing, writing lyrics, composing, and acting. “We will provide full support so that JAY B can develop his capabilities through various activities,” they added. 

Moreover, they asked the idol’s fans for their support as the singer starts a new chapter in his career. 

Following the announcement, Mauve Company also released profile photos of JAY B. There, the artist was sporting a variety of looks from casual to formal. 

 

The solo career of JAY B

JAY B is best known as the leader of the boy group GOT7. Prior to that, he acted in Dream High 2 and made his debut as a member of the duo JJ Project. 

While under GOT7, he and member Yugyeom formed the sub-unit Jus2. He’s also known to write songs as Defsoul or Def., both for GOT7 and the Offshore Crew. 

When GOT7 left JYP Entertainment in January 2021, the leader was the last of the members to sign with another label. Despite being part of different labels, GOT7 members assured their fans that they’ll still release music as a group. 

In May 2021, he signed with H1GHR MUSIC. There, he made his debut as a solo artist with the hit single “Switch It Up.” 

In July 2022, he departed from the R&B and hip-hop label before moving to CDNZA Records. After a year, in July 2023, the singer also left CDNZA Records. 

Currently, JAY B is fulfilling his mandatory military service as he enlisted in February. To note, he hinted his enlistment through his latest album Seasonal Hiatus. He’s expected to be discharged in November 2024.

MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, GOT7’s Jinyoung, and former Wanna One members Ong Seongwu and Ha Sungwoon are all 3rd generation K-Pop idols who are currently serving in the military. However, they recently had the opportunity to showcase their talents at the Ground Forces Festival, also known as the 2023 Army Fest.

Despite their absence from their respective groups due to military enlistment, these talented idols came together to perform as part of the same group of soldiers. They treated the audience to dance covers of popular K-Pop songs, creating an entertaining and memorable experience.

Their dance covers included hit songs such as NewJeans’ “Super Shy” and LE SSERAFIM’s “Eve, Psyche, & The Bluebeard’s Wife.” Additionally, each member had the chance to showcase their own group’s iconic tracks. GOT7’s “Hard Carry,” Wanna One’s “Energetic,” and MONSTA X’s “Shoot Out” were all featured in their performances.

Fans of these talented idols appreciated their dedication to providing entertainment even while fulfilling their mandatory military service. During a recent appearance on BamBam’s YouTube program “Bam House Season 2”, SHINee’s Key engaged in a friendly chat with his longtime friend. Among various topics, they discussed BamBam’s deep admiration for GIRLS’ GENERATION member Taeyeon and his aspirations to have her as a guest on his show.

BamBam’s fondness for Taeyeon has been no secret, with him often mentioning her as his idol and even attending her fan signings during his trainee days. Inquisitive about how Taeyeon was doing, BamBam initially received a guarded response from Key, who hesitated to disclose details about her personal life, whether fine or not.

BamBam candidly expressed his ultimate goal of having Taeyeon as a guest on his show. Key playfully advised BamBam to approach the matter with a “calm build-up” and give her time to consider the invitation, suggesting that he might have already attempted to reach out to her.

As the conversation unfolded, Key added a touch of teasing humor by asking BamBam to convey a greeting to Taeyeon. He casually mentioned that he had recently chatted with Taeyeon, who revealed her awareness of “Bam House.”

BamBam and Sandara Park made a delightful appearance on the September 8, 2023 episode of SBS Power FM’s “Cultwo Show” where they shared an intriguing anecdote about their friendship and collaboration. During the episode, Sandara recounted the pivotal moment when she decided to sign with ABYSS Company.

When Sandara met with ABYSS Company’s CEO to discuss the contract, she was pleasantly surprised by his companion, BamBam. In a playful and influencer-like manner, BamBam enthusiastically encouraged Sandara to sign, exclaiming, “It’s great. [Sign] it!” His support and conviction played a pivotal role in reassuring Sandara as she put pen to paper.

Their camaraderie has since blossomed into a close friendship. As MCs and guests on various occasions, they grew even closer, sharing moments like enjoying Chinese liquor together. BamBam and Sandara’s connection serves as a testament to the bonds that can form within the entertainment industry, transcending labels and fostering genuine friendships.

Dara debuted with 2NE1 in May 2009. She was the first member of the group to release a solo single “Kiss” (feat. CL) which was used for a Cass Beer promotional campaign. After 2NE1 disbanded in November 2016, Dara signed a solo contract with YG Entertainment. However, she did not release any solo music and later joined ABYSS Company in 2021.

In January 2021, BamBam left JYP Entertainment following the expiration of his contract. He later signed with ABYSS Company, releasing his first solo album ‘Sour & Sweet’ in March 2023.

It’s almost time to get a new AHGABONG. GOT7 has just unveiled the first look of their latest official light stick Ver. 3. Not surprisingly, the unexpected announcement already has IGOT7s wondering if the idol group are preparing for a comeback concert.

GOT7 has sent their fans into a frenzy of excitement with the unveiling of the highly anticipated third iteration of their official light stick. The AHGABONG Version 3 immediately sparked a global wave of anticipation, with fans eagerly marking the days until its official release.

The new design boasts a sleek black base that exudes elegance. Its upper portion resembles a bird, an homage to GOT7’s devoted fanbase IGOT7 or AHGASE. The second official nickname for the fandom translates to “baby bird” in Korean. This upper section is adorned with captivating green illumination, perfectly aligned with the group’s official fandom color. To add to its allure, the handle proudly features the unmistakable GOT7 logo, making it an essential item for fans to own and cherish.

It’s certainly an awesome update from GOT7 considering that the idols haven’t released a group effort since May 2022. Needless to say, AHGASEs are now wondering if this means the boy group will reunite for a new project. After all, why would the idols release a new lightstick if it wouldn’t be used in a concert? It has been a while since we heard from GOT7 but it looks like Mark Tuan is already preparing for a comeback. The Californian member of the boy group has just dropped a mysterious new teaser. Not surprisingly, AHGASEs are already hyped up by the idea that Mark will be back with new music.

GOT7’s Mark Tuan Hypes Up September 2023 Content

On August 21, a teaser from the GOT7 member surfaced on his official social media, leaving fans in suspense. The enigmatic ‘Coming Soon’ poster features Mark Tuan confidently posing, yet an intentional blur effect and obscured eyes shroud the image in mystery. At the bottom of the poster is a lone date September 1, 2023. It is the sole clue, hinting at something significant on the horizon.

This cryptic teaser has piqued the curiosity of fans, who eagerly await what unfolds on the promised date. Needless to say, AHGASEs are already prepared for an exciting revelation or announcement.

For now, it is unclear whether Mark Tuan is gearing up for a solo comeback. It is also possible that his upcoming project will be an advertising collaboration. Nevertheless, fans are eagerly looking forward to new content from the GOT7 member.

In January 2021, Mark Tuan and the other six members of GOT7 chose not to renew their contracts with JYP Entertainment. Since then, Mark returned to the US and established his own YouTube channel, record label, and Chinese company. He later signed with Creative Artists Agency and released the song “Never Gonna Come Down” with Bibi for the movie “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”. Mark’s latest release is the single “Carry Me Out” which was released in March 2023.

GOT7 had previously promised that they are preparing for a full group comeback. Member Park Jinyoung teased the comeback during his speech at the 59th Baeksang Awards earlier this year. The teaser was dropped right before Jinyoung enlisted for military service.

Fans Enraged After GOT7’s Jackson Wang Got Attacked by Stranger

Fans of Jackson Wang, member of K-pop boy group GOT7, are calling for better security after the Hong Kong rapper-singer was manhandled by a stranger during his recent visit in Thailand. 

The artist, who is currently embarking on his Magic Man world tour, was recently in Thailand for an event. 

Based on the videos circulating on social media, a massive crowd of fans gathered to see Jackson. As he was leaving the event, the idol stopped by his car to greet and wave to his supporters but an unknown female came rushing to approach him and was seen almost embracing him and dragging him out of the car. 

The security staff then pulled the unknown female away from Jackson, and the artist was evidently left in shock by the turn of events, before he tried to process what happened. 

The incident quickly sparked outrage online, with fans expressing their disappointment in the security guards and lamenting the lack of protection for Jackson. 

“How come she was able to get close to him,” one tweet read, while another fans said that the guards “could have done a better job” protecting Jackson. “What if that person was coming to harm him? That is so beyond scary, and seeing the look on Jackson’s face and checking himself.”

Some fans also condemned the behavior of the unknown woman, and reminded their fellow fans the importance of giving boundaries to the artists, as these artists are also human beings. 

“Being a celebrity doesn’t make you less human. Just more vulnerable. They should be treated like people,” another said. Another wrote, “Did the person think Jackson will be happy when she does this? Crazy!” 

 

As of writing, Jackson or his management has yet to release a statement about the incident. It also remains unclear what happened to the unknown female stranger. 

Aside from Jackson, another K-pop idol – Jang Wonyoung of girl group IVE was also approached by an unknown child during their recent visit to Madrid.

Since the group’s departure from JYP Entertainment in January 2021, the GOT7 members have signed with different agencies and pursued solo activities. Jackson has been busy releasing albums and touring under his agency Team Wang Records. 

His sophomore album Magic Man was released in September 2022. 

 

In April, he released “Cheetah” and hinted at Magic Man 2, a likely sequel to his 2022 studio album Magic Man. “Magic Man 2, my true self, genuine and unfiltered,” he wrote. But details about his next album have yet to be announced.

GOT7’s Jay B Part Ways With Cdnza Records

Singer-songwriter JAY B of K-pop boy group GOT7 is no longer under CDNZA Records. 

The agency announced on Saturday, July 22, that their exclusive contract with JAY B has ended in April. 

CDNZA Records explained that the development was a “mutual agreement” between both parties and that it was done with “much thought and discussion.” They also apologized to the fans for the sudden announcement.

JAY B moved to CDNZA Records in July 2022 as the agency’s first and only artist. Prior to that, JAY B signed with H1GHR Music in May 2021, following GOT7’s departure from JYP Entertainment in January 2021. 

As of writing, JAY B has yet to announce which agency he is moving to as he’s currently serving in the military. He enlisted in the military in February, following the release of his special CD Seasonal Hiatus. 

JAY B, or Lim Jae-bom, is the leader of GOT7. He initially made his debut in 2012 as a member of the duo JJ Project. In January 2014, he, together with Jinyoung, became members of boy group GOT7. The group is known for hits “Hard Carry,”  “NA NA NA,” “Just Right,” “NOT BY THE MOON,” and “You Calling My Name.” 

JAY B made his official debut as a solo artist in May 2021 through the album Switch It Up. 

 

Although the members are now part of different labels, GOT7 assured their fans that they are not disbanding and they have plans to continue working as a group. Currently, most of the G0T7 members are pursuing solo careers, while some members – such as JAY B and Jinyoung – are in the military.
