B.I. and iKON Share The Stage After Almost 5 Years

It has been a long time but B.I. and iKON finally managed to share a stage in a recent event. This would mark the first time that all seven idols were onstage together since B.I. left the group back in 2019.

B.I. and iKON Share The Stage in Thailand

B.I. and iKON finally shared the stage at the Supersounds Festival in Thailand, leaving fans with mixed emotions. The group originally debuted in 2015 with seven members, including B.I. However, in 2019, B.I. left the group following controversies, and iKON continued promoting as a six-member group. Fans have held onto hope for reconciliation, but recent statements from Bobby had cast doubt on the possibility.

At the recent Supersounds Festival, a fan-shared clip from the concert’s ending showed B.I. standing on the extended stage as other artists exited. As iKON made their way down the stage, B.I. faced towards them, watching until they reached the extended stage. Once out of sight, B.I. turned around, seemingly with a small smile on his face.

During the group’s final speaking moments, B.I. turned to watch iKON, and as he spoke, iKON members politely listened, with some facing him directly. These moments left fans with mixed feelings, happy to see them on the same stage again but saddened by the circumstances surrounding their past.

The reunion on stage, even if brief, sparked emotions among fans who have longed for the possibility of iKON’s original lineup coming together once more. The conflicting feelings reflect the complex dynamics and history of the group’s journey over the years.

All the remaining members of iKON left YG Entertainment in December 2022 before signing with 143 Entertainment in January of the following year. Since then, they have released their third studio album ‘Take Off’ in May 2023. Meanwhile, B.I. released his second EP ‘Love or Loved Part. 2’ on November 10, 2023 and is currently promoting the single “Loved”.

iKON Member Bobby Finally Addresses B.I.’s Exit

Bobby is making himself heard amidst all the discussions about a former iKON member. The rapper decided to speak up after people continued speaking ill about B.I., the group’s former leader. Kim Jiwon also revealed his true feelings about Kim Hanbin’s departure from the group.

Bobby Shares Support for Former iKON Leader B.I.

On September 11, Bobby shared an unexpected post on social media. The iKON rapper utilized his personal Instagram account to share his reflections on the fan conflicts surrounding iKON and their former leader, B.I.

Don’t put in work for OT7 or OT6 and some. I’m not trying to be political or none. Just trying to let y’all know how I feel for whoever. STOP THIS WAR (sic),” he wrote.

When fans began responding to his post, Bobby decided to give them a piece of his mind. One particular fan expressed their feelings about Kim Hanbin’s departure. Interestingly, Kim Jiwon explained that he had already spoken to B.I. about what happened.

“I feel you honestly because he is my bro. He did show and had some bad influence on the next generation, but I can’t stop my love for him though. You know he knows what he did was wrong and everything, but let’s not make this whole game commercial and sh-t though,” he wrote.

Bobby continued by admitting he still loves B.I. and asked fans to support him.

I love him as much as you love him. Let’s not forget he’s a good dude. Let’s give him a chance to make it up to you. Forgiveness is the most noble thing that a human being can do,” he wrote.

In June 2019, unsettling information came to light regarding B.I., involving his attempt to acquire marijuana and LSD back in 2016. These illicit substances were sourced through a female drug dealer, and it was reported that the rapper did indeed consume the marijuana he had obtained. Furthermore, allegations suggested that Kim Hanbin managed to elude police charges at the time.

B.I. is currently preparing for his next comeback with the EP ‘Love or Loved Part 2’. In related news, the remaining iKON members have reclaimed their group trademarks after leaving YG Entertainment.

iKON Members Officially Reclaim Group Trademarks From YG Entertainment

The iKON members are officially free. In a groundbreaking moment for the idols and a significant milestone in the K-Pop industry, the talented members of the renowned boy group iKON have successfully gained ownership of all their group trademarks following their departure from YG Entertainment.

iKON Members Finally Claim Group Trademarks Since YG Entertainment Exit

As confirmed by the Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS), a total of 13 trademarks associated with the K-Pop sensation “iKON” have now been officially transferred to its members. This remarkable development extends to the group’s dedicated artists, including Kim Jin Hwan (Jay), Song Yun Hyeong (Song), Kim Ji Won (Bobby), Kim Dong Hyuk (DK), Koo Jun Hoe (Ju-Ne), and Jung Chan Woo (Chan).

This significant achievement signifies that each member of iKON is now a proud owner of their group’s valuable trademarks, marking a historic moment in their artistic journey and underlining their autonomy in shaping their future endeavors.

In the previous year, iKON bid farewell to YG Entertainment by releasing their final mini-album ‘Flashback’ under the agency and embarking on a memorable Japan tour. This marked a significant transition in their career. On December 30, the members collectively declared their departure from YG Entertainment, setting the stage for a new chapter in their journey. Shortly thereafter, they embarked on this fresh adventure by signing with 143 Entertainment.

Their first release under 143 Entertainment was the eagerly anticipated album ‘Take Off’ which debuted in May of this year. However, an important detail persisted – although the album bore the group’s iconic name, iKON, the members still did not possess the legal rights to that name. Despite their newfound creative freedom, this legal distinction underscored the ongoing importance of resolving their trademark ownership, paving the way for their artistic autonomy and continued success in the ever-evolving world of K-Pop.

The iKON members have been on a long journey since their debut. Needless to say, owning the rights to their songs and the group name is a major milestone.
