Actor Jung Hae In has officially renewed his contract with FNC Entertainment, further cementing his long-standing relationship with the agency. The “Love Next Door” star has renewed his FNC Entertainment contract for the third time in his career.

On October 8, media reports confirmed that the actor had decided to stay with FNC, highlighting trust and mutual belief as the key reasons behind his decision to continue the partnership.

FNC Entertainment expressed their excitement over the renewal, stating, “We are really happy to have been with actor Jung Hae In from the beginning until now and will continue to be in the days to come. We have respected each other and had a long journey together, building a strong and special relationship based on deep trust. We promise to provide him with full support so he can focus on all his activities as an actor.”

Jung Hae In’s bond with FNC Entertainment is indeed a special one, as he was the agency’s first actor signed in 2013. Now celebrating his 11th anniversary in the industry, Jung Hae In has built an impressive career with standout roles in popular dramas like “Something in the Rain”, “One Spring Night”, “D.P.”, and “Connect”. Most recently, he appeared in the film “I, the Executioner”, which was released last month, and in the tvN drama “Love Next Door”.

Beyond his on-screen successes, Jung Hae In is also connecting with fans through upcoming events. He is scheduled to hold a fan meeting in Japan titled “FALLING WITH YOU” on October 20, providing a chance for his Japanese fans to interact with him in person. Following that, he will embark on a fan meeting tour, “OUR TIME”, which will begin in Bangkok on November 2, giving international fans more opportunities to meet the beloved actor.

Love Next Door Script Reading Highlights Jung Hae In and Jung So Min

The upcoming rom-com drama “Love Next Door” is already generating buzz with the recent release of its first script reading session. On July 10, fans were treated to an exciting glimpse of what’s to come as the production team shared photos from the event.

‘Love Next Door’ cast kicks off successful first script reading

In attendance were Director Yoo Je Won and Writer Shin Ha Eun, along with the talented cast, which includes Jung Hae In, Jung So Min, Kim Ji Eun, Yun Ji On, Park Ji Young, Jo Han Chul, Jang Young Nam, Lee Seung Joon, Kim Geum Soon, Han Ye Joo, Jeon Suk Ho, N.Flying’s Lee Seung Hyub, and Shim So Young. The gathering was energetic as the cast and crew came together to bring their characters to life.

“Love Next Door” tells the story of Bae Seok Ryu, portrayed by Jung So Min, a woman looking to restart her troubled life, and Choi Seung Hyo, played by Jung Hae In, who is the son of her mother’s friend and a significant figure from her past. With Yoo Je Won, known for “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” directing and Shin Ha Eun penning the script, the drama promises to deliver a captivating tale set in the Hyereung Neighborhood.

The production team reacted positively to the script reading, noting the warm and friendly atmosphere. “It was a pleasant and heartwarming first script reading as if old friends and neighbors had gathered together,” they said. They encouraged viewers to look forward to the chemistry between the actors and the engaging stories of the characters. “Please watch the passionate acting and synergy of the actors who will immerse you in Choi Seung Hyo and Bae Seok Ryu’s romance around the neighborhood as well as the life stories of the people of Hyereung Neighborhood.”

Love Next Door is scheduled to premiere on August 17 on tvN. There will be 16 episodes in total which will air every Saturday and Sunday.

Jung Hae In Set to Star in Rom-Com Drama ‘Mom’s Friend’s Son’

Here’s a treat for you, K-Drama fans! Actor Jung Hae In is set to make his screen comeback in his first ever romcom role for the 2024 drama Mom’s Friend’s Son.

On Wednesday, December 14, the actor’s agency, FNC Entertainment confirmed that he’s been casted in the drama.

According to reports, Mom’s Friend’s Son will follow the story of a woman trying to rebuild her imperfect life. However, her life is entwined with the life of her mother’s friend’s son, who reflects her darker side.

In the series, Hae In will play the role of Choi Seung Hyo, the CEO of Architectural Atelier and the son of Bae Seok Ryu’s mother’s friend. Despite his good looks and admired personality, he struggles to deal with his love interest, Bae Seok Ryu. Interestingly, the two lead characters were revealed to have known each other since the age of four.

Moreover, fans are even more excited for the upcoming drama as this is the reunion project of PD Yoo Je Won and writer Shin Ha Eun. The two have previously worked together in the 2021 hit  drama Hometown Cha Cha Cha. 

Notably, Mom’s Friend’s Son will start filming next year. Additionally, it is scheduled to be released in the latter half of 2024.

While 2024 looks promising for the actor, Hae In has already been booked and busy with his past activities.

In August 2023, the 35-year-old actor returned for the second season of the military action drama DP, which stood for Deserter Pursuit. Alongside veteran actors in the likes of Son Suk-ku, Kim Sung Kyun, and Koo Kyo-Hwan, the drama gained recognition for its raw portrayal of the harsh reality of the country’s military service system.

After wrapping up the drama, Jung Hae In graced his fandom, Haeiness, with the The 10th Season fan meeting. The actor visited stops across the USA, Canada and Asia to meet his international fans.

Jung Hae In in Talks to Star in Rom-Com ‘Some and Shopping’

Haeiness, are you ready for this? Actor Jung Hae In just might finally unleash his comedic skills as he is in talks to star in his first ever romantic-comedy series Some and Shopping.

What we know so far about ‘Some and Shopping’

On Monday, October 2, the actor’s agency, FNC Entertainment, released a statement saying that Jung Hae In received an offer for an upcoming romantic comedy drama.

Jung Hae In received a casting offer from the production team of the new drama Some and Shopping. It is one of the projects he is currently considering,” the label said.

In Some and Shopping, Hae In might play the role of Lee Hae Seok, a CEO of a cosmetics company and a home shopping host with absolute principles.

If Hae In accepts the role, it will remarkably be the first romantic comedy in his almost-decade-long acting career. 

Prior to the offer, the actor already opened up about his desire to star in a romcom. “I have never done a rom-com before and I want to give it a try,” the actor shared in a previous interview.

A walk through the acting career of Jung Hae In

In 2014, Hae In made his acting debut with a supporting role in the series Bride of the Century. Since then, he appeared in numerous dramas including Blood, Night Light, Prison Playbook, and many more.

In 2017, Hae In gained recognition in the drama While You Were Sleeping starring Lee Jong Suk and Bae Suzy. There, the actor infected fans with the “second lead syndrome” for his role as policeman Han Woo Tak

After the success of While You Were Sleeping, the actor finally landed his first lead role in the 2018 melodrama Something in the Rain. There, he starred alongside veteran actress Son Ye Jin. Said drama bagged the Best Drama Series in the Asian Television Awards. 

Furthermore, Hae In continued to establish his versatility as an actor in his next projects. From being a loveable pharmacist in One Spring Night, to being a North Korean agent in Snowdrop, the actor proved that he can ace a variety of roles.

Most recently, the 35 year-old actor returned as a calm soldier in the second season of D.P., which tackled the undesirable nature inside the military.

Although the actor has tried various genres in the past, romantic-comedy is something he is yet to conquer. With his appearance in Some and Shopping currently in talks, fans are already expecting to witness Hae In’s charm in a new light.

First Look: Im Siwan and Jung Hae In’s Travel Show ‘Actors on a Journey’

Celebrity friends Im Siwan and Jung Hae In will give a glimpse of their adorable friendship in the travel variety show Actors on a Journey! 

JTBC Entertainment released the teaser for the series, wherein the two actors will travel all over Scotland. 

In the clip, the two are seen constantly making each other laugh. The teaser ends with the two racing each other after Siwan ran away from Hae In. 

 

Actors on a Journey is the first time that the two actor friends are starring in a variety series together. 

Following the teaser, fans are anticipating how Siwan and Hae In interact given that they’re both born in 1988. Fans also pointed out that the two have different MBTI types and travel preferences. 

Additionally, both stars are also known to be whiskey lovers. The show was reportedly filmed in Scotland as its a place known for having the greatest amount of whiskey produced. Filming for the show wrapped up in May. 

Actors on a Journey will premiere on August 23. 

Im Siwan is known for his roles in Run On, Summer Strike, and Misaeng, among others. He is confirmed to star in the second season of Squid Game. Meanwhile, Jung Hae In starred in Snowdrop, D.P., and While You Were Sleeping.
