Actors Kim Tae-ri and Hong Kyung are lending their voices for Lost in Starlight, Netflix’s first Korean-language animated film.

On Wednesday, August 16, Netflix confirmed the news by sharing a video of the two stars. Said video saw Kim Tae-ri and Hong Kyung’s goofy moments being animated.

As for the plot, Lost in Starlight will tell the story of a long-distance relationship of an astronaut and a musician.

Additionally, Kim Tae-ri, whose acting credits include Twenty Five Twenty One and Alienoid, will make her voice acting debut. She will give life to scientist Nanyoung.

In the film, Nanyoung will go to Mars to look for a closure on her mother’s well-being and disappearance. Also an astronaut, Nanyoung’s mother failed to return to Earth after a mishap on her Mars probe.

During this time, Nanyoung will meet Jay, voiced by Innocence star Hong Kyung. Jay is a musician who’s known for fixing retro audio equipment.

After their accidental meeting, the two will meet again because of a turntable. It’s a memento of Nanyoung’s mother.

Even though it’s only an animated film, fans are already anticipating the chemistry between the two lead stars. Given that   Kim Tae-ri and Hong Kyung have previously worked together in the series Revenant.
