YoonA Makes Generous Donation to Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation

On October 11, Girls’ Generation’s YoonA made a significant charitable gesture by donating 100 million KRW (approximately 74,092 USD) to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation. SM Entertainment, her agency, revealed that YoonA’s donation combined the proceeds from the sales of her birthday pop-up event, ‘So Wonderful Day,’ held for fans in May, with her personal funds.

YoonA’s contribution holds special meaning, as she chose to share the experience with her fans. She made the donation in the names of both herself and ‘So Wonderful Day,’ expressing her gratitude and love for the support she has received from her fanbase. The funds will be directed toward covering medical expenses for children battling pediatric cancer, rare diseases, and other incurable conditions, helping alleviate the financial burden on their families.

YoonA has been recognized for her charitable activities for many years. In 2015, she became the first idol to join the prestigious Honor Society, a group of donors dedicated to supporting those in need. Since then, she has consistently made year-end donations and participated in various charitable endeavors, using her influence and resources to make a positive impact.

In addition to her philanthropy, YoonA continues to shine in her acting career. She will soon appear in director Lee Sang Geun’s highly anticipated film “The Devil Came to Live Here”, following the success of his previous film “Exit”. Fans are excited to see YoonA take on another leading role, further showcasing her versatility and talent as both an artist and an actress.

In related news, YoonA renewed her contract with SM Entertainment back in January. This is the third time that the Girls Generation member has renewed her contract with the company.
