SEVENTEEN’s Hip Hop Team Get Floral in Japanese LP ‘Always Yours’ Teaser Photos

SEVENTEEN is generating excitement for their forthcoming Japanese album, ‘Always Yours.’ The Hip Hop Team is showing off their stunning visuals amidst gorgeous flowers in the latest teasers. Not surprisingly, S. Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon are channeling their soft side in the photos.

SEVENTEEN Hip Hop Team Show Off Their Soft Side In New ‘Always Yours’ Teasers

On August 20, SEVENTEEN unveiled a collection of captivating photo teasers to tease the Hip Hop Team’s arrival. These striking images feature S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon, immersed in a vibrant sea of flowers, exuding their youthful allure. The teasers offer a tantalizing glimpse into what promises to be a visually stunning and musically enchanting Japanese release.

With their unique blend of talent and charisma, SEVENTEEN continues to captivate fans both in Japan and around the world, and ‘Always Yours’ is poised to be another remarkable addition to their discography. The photos serve as a captivating prelude to what fans can expect from this highly anticipated album.

Although the images are hyping up CARATs for the upcoming release, there is also much concern about the Hip Hop Team leader. It was recently confirmed that S. Coups is taking a break to recuperate from a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The SEVENTEEN leader was injured while filming content with the rest of the group. Once taken to the hospital, it was confirmed that Choi Seungcheol had suffered from a torn ACL and would need several months to recuperate.

For now, it looks like promotions for the new Japanese album will proceed without S. Coups. The rapper is expected to take a lengthy hiatus since recuperation from surgery could last almost a year. Nevertheless, fans are already looking forward to the new album.

Fans can anticipate an eagerly awaited Japanese compilation from SEVENTEEN. It includes their greatest hits, featuring past Japanese versions of songs, along with two fresh tracks: the original Japanese title “Ima -Even if the world ends tomorrow-“ and “Sara Sara,” as previously teased in the highlight medley. ‘Always Yours’ will be released on August 23, 2023.

SEVENTEEN Fans React To S. Coups Torn ACL Surgery

S. Coups is taking a break to recover from a recent injury. It was recently announced that the SEVENTEEN leader suffered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) after injuring his left knee. Since the announcement, CARATs have been sharing their thoughts about Choi Seungcheol’s injury. Most fans are expressing their concern for the rapper after realizing he would be on hiatus for several months.

On August 17, PLEDIS Entertainment issued a statement confirming the SEVENTEEN member’s injury. According to the agency, S. Coups was injured while filming content with the rest of the group. Once taken to the hospital, it was confirmed that Choi Seungcheol had suffered from a torn ACL and would need several months to recuperate.

The statement further confirmed that Choi will be going through necessary medical treatment prior to the knee surgery. Unfortunately, this meant that S. Coups will not participate in group activities until he is fully recovered.

CARATs React To S. Coups’ Latest Injury

Not surprisingly, fans met the news with mixed reactions. Although several CARATS were quick to wish S. Coups to get better soon, others worried that he would be out of the spotlight for almost a year. It was noted that recovering from a torn ACL could last six to nine months at most. This means the SEVENTEEN rapper will have to halt promotions until early next year.

This isn’t the first time that S. Coups had to stay away from the limelight due to an injury. In 2021, he had to withdraw from promotions for the EP “Your Choice” after sustaining injuries from a fall. According to reports, Choi injured his right shoulder and had additional abrasions and cuts to his right ear, chin, and forehead. However, he was able to return and continue promoting with the group.

SEVENTEEN recently held a two-day concert titled “Follow” at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome.

SEVENTEEN’s S. Coups Resumes Japan Activities

S. Coups is officially back to work. The SEVENTEEN leader has resumed group activities after taking a short break due to some health issues.

PLEDIS Entertainment Announces S. Coups’ Absence From Fan Meeting

On May 27, PLEDIS Entertainment issued a statement confirming that S. Coups will not participate in a fan meeting scheduled on that day. The agency revealed that Choi Seungcheol was not feeling well.

“As he is not feeling well, SEVENTEEN’s S. Coups will inevitably be absent from the Tokyo performance of SEVENTEEN 2023 JAPAN FANMEETING ‘LOVE’ on May 27,” the statement read.

“We apologize to fans and ask for your understanding,” it continues. “We will do our best to support S. Coups so he may recover his health as soon as possible.”

SEVENTEEN Quickly Reunites With Group Leader

Luckily, it looks like the SEVENTEEN leader quickly recovered from his illness. The group’s maknae Dino shared two selfies on Twitter confirming Choi Seungcheol resumed group activities the following day.

It is unclear why S. Coups was not able to join the rest of the group on May 27. However, Japanese CARATs were happy to see him reunited with the other SEVENTEEN members so soon.

There is a good reason why fans are concerned about S. Coups. Back in November 2019, the Hip-Hop Team leader announced that he is taking a break from the group. Choi Seungcheol was in hiatus for several months, eventually reuniting with his members on March 2020. However, SEVENTEEN was still unable to go on tour due to COVID-19.

SEVENTEEN is currently promoting their tenth mini album ‘FML’ and the singles “F*ck My Life” and “Super”. The group are also touring Japan for the “LOVE” fan meetings.

S. Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, THE8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino recently celebrated an awesome milestone. SEVENTEEN celebrated the fifth anniversary of their Japanese debut on May 30, 2023.
