Felix Struts His Stuff on the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2024 Runway

When Stray Kids’ Felix participated in Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show, he marked his official debut in the high fashion world. The event showcased the luxury brand’s ready-to-wear fall 2024 line and saw Felix don a distinctive ensemble. The K-pop idol wore furry white gloves, sleek white and silver pants, and a textured white turtleneck. He carried a gray handbag in one hand as he strutted down the runway. His blonde hair was a frosty shade of platinum, which matched the icy vibe of his outfit.

The show celebrated Nicolas Ghesquière’s tenth anniversary as the artistic director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton. According to WWD, the “collection, while not exactly a greatest hits compilation, could be read as a distillation of his work at the house. There were futuristic takes on sportswear, like a graphic two-tone windbreaker with a curved zipper, or a silver flight suit with scarification marks.”

Meanwhile, Nicole Phelps of Vogue wrote, “The jackets heavily embroidered with metallic threads and embellished with cabochon stones recalled the frock coats of the Louis XVI collection for spring 2018 he presented in the medieval part of the Louvre. Sparkling skirts that bubbled below the knees seemed to be a callback to spring 2021, a pandemic-time show he staged without an audience. And the swirling asymmetric hems of the spectacular fringy evening numbers evoked the deconstructed scuba-suit dresses from his resort 2017 show in Rio.”

There were plenty of K-pop stars in the audience, including BLACKPINK’s Lisa, NewJeans’ Hyein, and TWICE’s Nayeon. Hollywood celebrities Ana de Armas, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Sophie Turner were also seen checking out the brand’s offerings.

Fashionable Felix

During a recent live broadcast on Instagram, Felix shared some behind-the-scenes tidbits from the show. “Nicholas prepared two large bouquets of flowers, and they were white. He prepared them for me before the show. He sent them to my waiting room, so I took a photo of them. It was sweet of him to send flowers, because in a sense it showed that he cared. He really wanted to cheer me on before the show.”

Felix also gave a shout-out to Squid Game star Jung Hoyeon, who opened the show and joined him onstage for the finale. “On the runway, Hoyeon–nim took really good care of me and taught me quite a lot. I’m thankful to Hoyeon–nim for teaching me how to walk on the runway. I received feedback and tips on how to do it, which was quite helpful.”

Felix’s relationship with Louis Vuitton began in August 2023 when he was announced as a house ambassador. Ghesquière praised Felix for his “unique personality” and “audacious sense of style.” Prior to his Paris Fashion Week appearance, he attended Ghesquière’s 2024 cruise show for Vuitton. Ghesquière also styled Felix for the Lollapalooza music festival in Paris.

Fashionable Felix wasn’t the only member of Stray Kids who participated in fashion-related events last month. I.N. went to the Alexander McQueen show while Seungmin attended a Loewe event. Stray Kids’ Felix Appears in LV Fashion Film for Harper’s Bazaar Japan

On February 20, fans of Stray Kids member Felix enjoyed a fashion spectacle as the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar Japan hit the stands. The April issue is available in two versions: the standard edition and the special edition. The standard edition features Felix on the cover in an outfit adorned with pink stripes and a purple houndstooth print, while the special edition showcases the idol in a striking all-black ensemble, consisting of classic black trousers paired with a black top.

Accompanying the magazine’s release was a fashion film on Harper’s Bazaar Japan’s official YouTube channel. The film spotlighted Felix’s collaboration with the esteemed fashion house, Louis Vuitton. In the 30-second video, the Stray Kids member rocked colorful and monochromatic outfits. Everything he wore in the video came from Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection for women. Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton women’s collections, designed the collection.

Felix owned every item he wore

Felix astounded fans as he strutted his stuff in the fashion film, challenging conventional norms surrounding gendered clothing. Whether it was a chic black flowy top with the iconic LV monogram or a stylish white top with pink sleeves, Felix owned every item he wore.

As soon as the fashion film dropped, the dancer-rapper’s visuals immediately captivated fans, with one enthusiast describing him as “the literal definition of ethereal.” Despite its brief duration, the clip caused a stir among fans. They sent the hashtag #FelixOnFire to the top of the Trending Topics list on X. STAYs flooded other platforms with a sea of compliments and messages praising his performance in the fashion film.

In other news, Felix was recently spotted in Laos doing volunteer work with UNICEF. He helped the organization provide healthy food, safe drinking water, and other essentials to children living in severe conditions. Afterwards, he returned to South Korea and to Stray Kids. Stray Kids’ Felix Spotted Doing Volunteer Work in Laos

On February 7, several South Korean media outlets reported that Felix of the K-pop boy group Stray Kids was spotted doing volunteer work in Laos during his Lunar New Year vacation. 

To recall, Felix was named as the youngest member of the esteemed UNICEF’s Honors Club in January 2024. At the time, the organization revealed that the K-pop idol made a generous donation of 100 Million Won to UNICEF. Moreover, the said amount was used to assist the underprivileged children in Laos.

In a statement released through the Korean Committee, the rapper said that his hope is for the children of Laos to grow up healthy and thrive in a safer environment.

After the news of his philanthropic act, Felix shared about his heartwarming experience to the fans through his Bubble account. 

“I got to know Laos well. The people are so kind and the country is beautiful”, the Stray Kids member wrote. “It’s really my happiness to be next to the kids and [be able to] help them,” he added.

In his interview for Harper’s Bazaar Japan, Felix also talked about his donation and volunteer work. According to the idol, since he received a lot of love from his fans and the people around him, he also wanted to return that love through his charitable activities.

Fans share how proud they are of Felix

Knowing that the singer went beyond his means and spent his holidays volunteering, his fans, especially Stray Kids’ fanbase, STAYs, can’t help but feel extremely proud of their idol.

On social media, fans showered the SKZ member with positive remarks and called him an “angel.”  Several STAYs also praised Felix for having such a warm heart and a kind soul.

 

Other fans also shared that their idol’s act of kindness encouraged them to do the same. “I’m definitely proud and inspired. I want to help as many people as I can too,” a netizen wrote.

 

Before this recent incident, Felix has been recognized for his constant philanthropic gestures. In the previous years, he has made headlines for making several donations for different causes and campaigns. Moreover, Felix was also recognized as part of the Save the Children’s Honors Club in 2023.

Felix, maintaining professionalism, responded with a smile, stating that he was used to being “cheated” on.

This incident is part of a broader issue where fan call winners misuse their opportunity to communicate with idols, exhibiting disrespectful or inappropriate behavior. In some cases, the artists’ staff members have had to intervene and prematurely end the call, but by then, the damage is already done.

Since the fan call, the Stray Kids fans reacted strongly, expressing their support for Felix and trending hashtags such as “JYPE PROTECT FELIX” and “RESPECT_FELIX.” STAYs are calling for JYP Entertainment, the agency representing Stray Kids, to implement more proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of their artists during virtual interactions.

The incident highlights the vulnerability of idols in these fan call scenarios and the need for enhanced security measures to prevent disrespectful or hurtful interactions. In related news, STRAY KIDS members Lee Know, Hyunjin and Seungmin were involved in a car accident earlier on September 20. Fortunately, JYP Entertainment confirms that there were no serious injuries. However, the members had to cancel their activities for the time being.

Look: Stray Kids’ Felix Is Louis Vuitton’s New Ambassador

Fashion luxury brand Louis Vuitton has tapped Felix of K-pop boy group Stray Kids as their newest house ambassador. 

On Tuesday, August 22, the brand made the announcement by sharing a series of photos of Felix wearing pieces from their collection. 

Additionally, Louis Vuitton also didn’t shy away from showering Felix with compliments, describing him as a “multi-talented artist” who is “internationally revered for his stellar stage presence.” 

 

According to Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of the women’s collection at Louis Vuitton, they’re really excited to welcome Felix in the brand. 

“I love his energy, his unique personality and his audacious sense of style,” Ghesquière said of the rapper. 

 

Following the announcement, Felix also expressed his gratitude to fans who congratulated him. “To be honest, this good news, as soon as I heard it, I was so happy,” he wrote. 

 

Felix as the ‘Louis Vuitton Boy’ 

While the announcement of Felix’s ambassadorship was only made today, the idol has previously attended an event by the brand. 

In May, the Stray Kids member was chosen to be one of the attendees at the Louis Vuitton Cruise Show 2024 in Italy. 

 

Meanwhile, in July, Felix went viral for wearing Louis Vuitton pieces during the Lollapalooza Paris show. His styling prompted fans to speculate that he’ll soon be joining the brand. 

 

With this, Felix has become the eight celebrity from South Korea to join Louis Vuitton’s roster.

Other K-pop idols who have been signed under Louis Vuitton includes BTS’ j-hope, Jackson Wang, and NewJeans’ Hyein. Previously, the whole group of BTS were signed as a collective ambassador for the fashion house. 

Interestingly, Louis Vuitton isn’t the only fashion house that has tapped K-pop idols to be their global ambassadors.  The list includes BTS’ V for Cartier, SEVENTEEN’s Vernon for Kenzo, and TWICE’s Dahyun for Michael Kors. (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon and STRAY KIDS’ Hyunjin  are also ambassadors for Jimmy Choo and Versace, respectively.
