Stray Kids’ Hyunjin Is Milan Fashion Week’s Top Influencer

On February 29, 2024, Stray Kids’ Hyunjin made headlines by securing the top spot on the Most Visible Influencers by Estimated Media Value (EMV) list during Milan Fashion Week. Remarkably, he achieved this significant digital milestone with just one Instagram post. 

This feat was highlighted by Lefty, an influencer marketing platform known for optimizing strategy and automating workflows. STAYs were thrilled, because the other celebrities on the list engaged with their brands through multiple posts, ranging from two to 25 times.

As a global brand ambassador for Versace, Hyunjin’s presence brought significant attention to the luxury brand. According to Lefty, the week ended with a total EMV of 149 million USD. Versace’s global brand ambassador emerged as the event’s most influential figure, with that one post from Hyunjin generating an astounding 4.02 million USD in EMV and an impressive 37.4% engagement rate. These numbers underscore the K-pop idol’s unparalleled influence and proves that Versace did the right thing by partnering with him.

Hyunjin is making waves in fashion

Versace itself reaped substantial benefits from this partnership, becoming the top brand of Milan Fashion Week with an EMV of 19.9 million USD. This success was largely due to its association with Hyunjin. His role as Versace’s global brand ambassador, starting on July 20, 2023, was historic. He became the first K-pop industry icon to represent the Italian luxury brand in such a capacity.

Meanwhile, as Hyunjin makes waves in fashion, his group, Stray Kids, continues to do so in music. They laid out all their plans for the year, including their fourth fan meeting, through their STEP OUT 2024 video. They’re also set to perform at Italy’s I-Days Milano music festival on July 12, 2024. Following the release of “Drama,” aespa engaged in numerous dance challenges with various artists. On December 28, aespa fulfilled another fan request by sharing a challenge video featuring NCT leader Taeyong during the 2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon. 3 Stray Kids Members Injured in a Minor Accident, Cancels Activities

Lee Know, Hyunjin and Seungmin of the boy group Stray Kids were involved in a car accident on Wednesday, September 20, according to agency JYP Entertainment. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries but the members had to cancel their activities for the time being.

In a statement released by the group’s agency on Thursday, September 21, it was revealed that the vehicle carrying the three members was involved in a minor collision on their way back to the dorms. 

Furthermore, JYPE stated that after the collision, Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Seungmin immediately went to a hospital for a medical examination. The medical results showed that there were no serious injuries, and they only sustained mild muscle pain and bruises.

With this, medical professionals have advised them to receive conservative treatment for the meantime. Which left the agency no choice but to cancel the members’ prior commitments.

According to JYPE, Lee Know and Hyunjin, who were supposedly making an appearance at the Milan Fashion Week on September 19-25, will no longer be attending the show.

There, Lee Know was supposed to take part in Gucci’s event. Meanwhile, Hyunjin, the brand’s global ambassador, was supposed to represent Versace. 

Additionally, Seungmin also had to cancel his upcoming Birthday Youtube Live. The vocalist will be celebrating his 23rd birthday on September 22.

Moreover, Stray Kids will no longer be taking part as a full group in their scheduled performance at the Global Citizen Festival in New York on September 23. Following the incident, only the group’s subunit 3RACHA, composed of Bang Chan, Changbin and Han will be featured in the event.

As they wrapped up their statement, JYPE wrote an apology for worrying the fans. And they assured the group’s supporters that they will place the artists’ health as their top priority.

STAYs’ concern for Stray Kids

STAYs, the group’s fandom, were needless to say taken aback upon hearing the news. On social media, STAYs immediately voiced their concern for the idols and wished for their good health.

“Your safety, health, and happiness always comes first to us,” one fan wrote.

Other STAYs reassured the “S-Class” hitmakers that they will be waiting patiently and that they should take all the time they need to fully recover. 

On top of that, they were also airing their concern on the group’s other announced upcoming activities. In October, Stray Kids is set to stage their two-night Unveil 13 concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. And they’re also reported to be making a comeback in November, as earlier confirmed by JYPE. 

Although the agency has yet to announce details on the members’ participation for these future activities, as of writing. But fans are already saying that the Stray Kids members should prioritize their health.

Meanwhile, Global Citizen also sent their regards to the group. “Our support goes out to the members of Stray Kids and our hearts are with Stays everywhere,” they said.

In other news, Stray Kids recently won their first MTV Video Music Awards win for the Best K-pop group.

Look: Stray Kids’ Hyunjin Revealed as Versace’s New Global Brand Ambassador

Hyunjin, member of K-pop boy group Stray Kids, has been named as the newest global ambassador of luxury fashion house Versace. 

On Thursday, July 20, Versace made the announcement, revealing that Hyunjin will also front the brand’s Versace Holiday 2023 campaign, which will be launched in November. 

Donatella Versace, the brand’s chief creative officer, described Hyunjin as a “true Versace man.”

“I am constantly inspired by new voices defining culture around the world and for me Hyunjin has great new energy and creativity. I love his confidence and freedom of expression,” she explained about casting Hyunjin. 

The idol also relayed his excitement to be working with the brand. He said that he’s “both inspired and honored to play a part in the House’s truly amazing heritage.”

Hyunjin is the first K-pop idol to be chosen by Versace to become their global ambassador. He’ll be joining the likes of international stars Chris Lee, Anne Hathaway, Bella Hadid, and Li Yuchun, among others. 

Prior to the official announcement, Hyunjin has been seen attending several events of the brand, including going to the opening of the Versace pop-up store in Seoul. 

In May, Hyunjin also attended Versace’s “La Vacanza” fashion show in Cannes alongside popstars Dua Lipa and Troye Sivan. 

While Versace serves as Hyunjin’s first solo ambassadorship, Stray Kids has been previously tapped by luxury Italian footwear Etro. Aside from fashion names, the group has been recently tapped by mobile accessory brand SLBS. 

Stray Kids initially debuted as a nine-piece act. Woonjin left the group in October 2019. 

Members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. are the current lineup.

The group is known for their songs “CASE 143,” “Thunderous, “God’s Menu,” and “Back Door.”  Stray Kids made their recent comeback in June with the third studio album 5-STAR.
