VANNER Member Hyesung Announces Military Enlistment Date

Hyesung is preparing to fulfill his mandatory military service. The young idol has been confirmed as the second VANNER member to enlist.

Second VANNER Member Announces Military Enlistment

On October 17, KLAP Entertainment officially announced that Hyesung will begin his enlistment on November 4, starting with basic training at a military training center. They also confirmed that there will be no official events during the enlistment date to ensure the idol’s safety as well as his supporters.

The agency stated, “No official events will be held on the day of his enlistment to avoid safety concerns due to potential crowding. We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site.”

In addition to that, they confirmed that, “Hyesung plans to fulfill all of VANNER’s scheduled activities until his enlistment. We ask for your continued support and unwavering love until Hyesung returns healthy after completing his military service.

“Our company will also provide ongoing support and affection for Hyesung and the other VANNER members,” they added. Netizens were certainly happy with the statement from the agency.

Despite his impending enlistment, Hyesung plans to participate in all of VANNER’s scheduled activities leading up to his departure. KLAP Entertainment also expressed their appreciation for fans’ support, asking for their continued love and encouragement during Hyesung’s time in service. They reassured fans that both Hyesung and the other VANNER members will receive the company’s full support during this period.

Hyesung is the second VANNER member to enlist, following Sungkook, who is currently serving. VANNER, which debuted in February 2019, gained widespread recognition after winning the survival show “Peak Time” in 2023. The group has remained active, most recently releasing their third mini-album ‘BURN’ on September 30. The group is currently promoting as a four-member unit.

Fans are sending well wishes to Hyesung, hoping for a safe and healthy return once his service is complete.

This September comeback marks VANNER’s first without Sungkook, who enlisted for military service in May. It looks like the first member of VANNER is getting ready for military service. KLAP Entertainment has just revealed that Sungkook will be enlisting in May and announced his military enlistment date.

VANNER’s Sungkook’s upcoming military enlistment date was announced by KLAP Entertainment on March 23. Despite this impending enlistment, Sungkook is committed to fulfilling his scheduled activities, including participating in VANNER’s upcoming concert in Korea, prior to his enlistment date.

“VANNER’s Sungkook will be carrying out his military duty as an active-duty soldier in the army after undergoing basic training at a training center [starting] on Tuesday, May 7. We will not be holding an official event [for the fans or press] on the day that he enters the training center, and we ask for your understanding in regards to the fact that he will be entering privately for the sake of preventing a safety-related accident due to on-site confusion,” the statement read.

“Up until his enlistment, Sungkook plans to carry out his scheduled activities, including VANNER’s domestic concert,” it continued.

The decision for Sungkook to enlist in the military reflects his sense of duty and responsibility as a citizen of South Korea. Military service is mandatory for all able-bodied men in South Korea, and Sungkook is no exception. VANNER Named City Ambassadors of Daejeon

The boy band VANNER has been appointed city ambassadors of Daejeon, as announced by their agency, KLAP Entertainment. This prestigious designation became effective from Wednesday, February 14 under a two-year contract. It entrusts the members with the responsibility of promoting Daejeon’s public events, including the notable Daejeon Zero O’Clock Festival.

Last year’s Daejeon Zero O’Clock Festival showcased Daejeon’s past, present, and future through various events and programs. The festival had three sections. The first section, Newtro Daejeon Blues, highlighted the city’s past with 1950s-themed setups. The second section, D-Culture of Korea, focused on the present with K-pop performances. Lastly, the Future City of Daejeon section showcased the city’s technological advancements. International students helped promote the festival, which also aims to boost the local economy by attracting tourists. For the next two years, that will be part of VANNER’s job as city ambassadors of Daejeon.

Expressing their enthusiasm for the new role, VANNER stated, “We are delighted and honored to have the opportunity to promote Daejeon. We will work in body and mind to aid events that promote Daejeon.” Hyesung, a band member native to the city, shared his gratitude for the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for his hometown. He committed to not only promoting Daejeon but also to spreading a positive influence as an artist.

‘Peak Time’ Winner Vanner Confirms Augsut Comeback

K-pop boy group  VANNER is set to make a comeback, four months after winning the JTBC audition competition show PEAK TIME. 

On Tuesday, August 1, VANNER released a teaser image of a flag with their logo. It also revealed that their first mini-album will be called Veni Vidi Vici, which is a Latin phrase for “I came, I saw, I conquered.” 

Additional details about the album have yet to be released, but Veni Vidi Vici will be out on August 21. 

 

What is PEAK TIME? 

Composed of Taehwan, Gon, Hyeseong, Sunggook, and Yeonggwang, VANNER competed on the show PEAK TIME as Team 11:00.

The group, which made their debut in 2019, was known for working part-time jobs while pursuing their dreams as an idol group. 

 

PEAK TIME is a competition show wherein already-debuted but lesser-known boy groups or members compete for a bigger platform. A total of 24 teams competed. 

The show ran from February to April, with VANNER being hailed as the winner.

It was hosted by Lee Seunggi, and had Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Jay Park, Tiffany Young as some of its judges. 

As a result of finishing first place, VANNER’s prize was getting an album produced and promoted. 

Additionally, VANNER, together with the other PEAK TIME teams who made it to the top six, BAE173, DKB, M.O.N.T, SEVENTUS, and TEAM 24:00, held a concert tour. 

The top six teams also released a special concert single titled “Your Time.”

More about VANNER

After winning PEAK TIME, VANNER signed a three-year contract with Klap Entertainment.

The agency shared that they will be in charge of the group’s album production, promotions, and management duties. 

Currently, the group is starring in their reality program Picnic Time. It is a spin-off program of PEAK TIME, and will see VANNER in their real-life travel vlogs.
