K-pop idol group DKB is facing a significant change as they gear up for their highly-anticipated comeback in November. On November 6, Brave Entertainment announced that Teo is departing from the group due to a legal issue involving drunk driving.

In a statement posted on DKB‘s official fan cafe, Brave Entertainment confirmed that Teo had been caught by the police for drunk driving on October 30. The incident then resulted in the revocation of his driver’s license.

Since the agency is aware that drunk driving is an unacceptable behavior, regardless of the circumstances, they engaged in a thoughtful discussion with Teo about the situation. To which, the member had to reflect on his immature action. Ultimately, it was decided that Teo would leave the group.

Moreover, the agency apologized for the incident and promised that they will educate their artists to avoid this situation in the future.

Additionally, Teo himself expressed his regret and apology to fans, his fellow DKB members, and the staff for his actions.

In a handwritten letter shared on DKB’s fan cafe, he acknowledged that his actions had caused great disappointment among fans and had been irresponsible. Furthermore, he expressed his remorse causing harm to the members and staff, as well as their fans.

DKB to continue as an 8-member group

With Teo’s departure, DKB is set to continue as an eight-member group. Additionally, Brave Entertainment promises that they would spare no effort in supporting the remaining members.

Despite the recent shakeups, the group continues their preparation for their comeback. On November 7, the agency told Korean media that the group will be releasing a new mini-album on November 30.

Other details about the album have yet to be announced, as of writing. But the agency promises that it will highlight the group’s “high performance.”

Moreover, Brave Entertainment also disclosed that for the first time since their debut, DKB will be shooting the music video in Los Angeles, USA. Which is a testament to the group’s growing popularity following their participation in PEAKTIME.
