Earlier this week, popular YouTuber Lee Jin Ho uploaded a video claiming that Kim Sae Ron had been in a relationship with a singer from early 2021 to May 2022. While Lee Jin Ho did not explicitly name the individual, online speculation quickly pointed toward WOODZ, prompting fans and media outlets to seek clarification.
On April 12, EDAM Entertainment, the agency currently managing WOODZ, released a short but firm statement in response to the rumors. They stated, “Because it’s a matter related to [the artist’s] personal life, it’s difficult for us to confirm. We ask for your understanding in this regard.” Additionally, the agency did not provide any further comment regarding the nature of WOODZ’s relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron or any additional context around the timeframe mentioned in the rumor.
At present, WOODZ is serving his mandatory military service, having enlisted in January 2024. The singer-songwriter and former member of X1 is also expected to complete his service later this year.
