TVING’s original drama “Study Group” is set to captivate audiences with its unique blend of high school action and comedy, and fans now have even more reason to be excited as Yoo In Soo is slated to make a special appearance.
Yoo In Soo to Reunite with Hwang Minhyun in Upcoming ‘Study Group’ Episode
On February 17, Management Koo announced that Yoo In Soo would join the cast in a special role, promising that his charm will elevate the drama to new heights.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Study Group” follows the adventures of Youn Ga Min (portrayed by Hwang Minhyun), a student whose dreams of academic excellence are humorously at odds with his unexpected talent for fighting. In this vibrant setting, Yoo In Soo will take on the role of Choo Jae Hwang, a second-year student at Yusung Technical High School.
As the villainous son of Choo Sung Woong, the enforcer of the notorious Yeonbaek gang, Choo Jae Hwang is poised to become a formidable antagonist. Making a dramatic entrance in Episode 9, he is set to engage in intense confrontations with the “Study Group” members, delivering powerful action sequences and showcasing a commanding screen presence that promises to leave a lasting impression through the series finale.
This project is particularly exciting as it marks a reunion for Yoo In Soo and Hwang Minhyun, who previously co-starred in both “Alchemy of Souls” and its sequel “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow.” Additionally, Yoo In Soo will be reunited with Shin Su Hyun, his co-star from “At a Distance, Spring is Green” and “Usury Academy,” creating high expectations for dynamic on-screen chemistry.
Despite currently serving as an MC soldier in the Republic of Korea Air Force Band after enlisting on November 18, 2024, Yoo In Soo continues to balance his military duties with his passion for acting. His last pre-enlistment project, the film “Boy,” is also set for release in the first half of this year.
